Should be a 6th star!!!
I am in the middle of a Home Automation project/book and my main water line from the city decided to start leaking. 11,000 gallons later it was discovered. So this was an opportune time to add a new section to the book/project, the home water supply monitor. So I needed a motorized ball valve, actually 2, so that I can add it to the new water line at the city water meter. I found the MISOL valve and decided to give them a try. I purchased a 3/4" motorized ball valve because it will stay in either position with out the constant need of electricity to keep it open or closed. I sent a msg to the mfr and they responded in no time at all. The package/valve arrived in perfect condition, and in a very short time. I have the valve hooked up to the main water feed and it is working perfectly. The next step is to wire it into the home control computer, where 5 other flow sensors will determine if the there is a leak in the plumbing or not.I still need to order a 1" valve to finish the project and I WILL ORDER IT FROM MISOL.Like the subject line states... THEY NEED A 6th STAR

Excellent for shop air shut-off
I am using this 3/4" ball valve on my shop air supply. It's the first thing in the air system and I use it to turn the air off at night. Both the compressor and air lines get turned off. That way the air lines can have leaks and lose all their air at night but the compressor tanks are still full so that I have air first thing.I hooked the valve up to 120 PSI and turned the compressor off. I sprayed it with soapy water and didn't see any bubbles so I let it sit for a few days. After 48 hours it's still sitting at 120 PSI.I tried opening it with a 12V automotive battery and it's nice and fast taking about 2 seconds to open fully. The limit switches work great so you can apply power and just leave it powered. It will open and then the switches stop it from opening any more. Excellent addition to my shop air system.

Great Valve
I absolutely love these valves. I have a cabin property that needs to have the water system drained periodically. It was a task with the previous manual valves to move the laundry equipment to get to access port in the floor and reach down and open or close the valves. With these electric valves I just flip a switch and the valve either opens or closes. They are solid valves and remain in the position the motors sets them to when the power is turn off. It only takes a second or two for the valve to open or close. There was a little wait in receiving them because I believe they were shipped from China, but they were well worth the wait.

These are wonderful valves, very fast acting
Please disregard my first review. I tried to edit or remove it, but couldn't. These are wonderful valves, very fast acting, minimal current drain, no leakage in the off position and a bargain.I will be ordering another one in a few weeks as a spare.Terry

Great valve!
I'm using one as part of a remote water system. I use a DPDT relay ( RT424F12 ) to control it and I wired in two LEDs in parallel with the output side of the polarity reversing relay. One led is red and the other green. I wired them with opposite polarity so only one works at a time, depending on the output polarity. They made an easy feedback indicator to tell me if the valve is open or shut.

Very good product!
Works awesome! Good quality, this is exactly what I needed. Let's see now how many years it will last!I removed 1 star since I was expecting 3 wires (open, close, ground), but I received the model with 2 wires (inverting the power open or close the valve) so I had to mess up with 2 relays. But now it's done and it works well. For your info, I am using this valve with the Insteon hub, I/O Lync, Range Extender, and Water Leak Sensors. The Insteon stuff is not easy to configure - using the smartphone is a PITA, but one it's done it's okay.If I have to start a new similar project, I would buy this same valve, but find another system for leak detection.

I love this unit
I bought this for a heater project on my UTV. I love this unit. It draws almost no current, Shuts off when it reaches either full open or closed, it's really quick. I have worked with other similar valves on Home Automation systems the ran into the hundreds of dollars that weren't built as well as this.

Go with the Flow
These valves serve there purpose. Price is great compared to Granger or Mcmaster. would be nice if they had some sort of feedback, even an LED to say if it's closed or open.
