Reasonable charging speed (8 hours for a 12 volt car battery) for a very reasonable price.

I like this product it was easy to use fast hookup and charging my battery very quickly it's a very nice charger works very well and not only it's a charger it's a trickle charger too so it's two and one love it

This is NOT a heavy-duty battery charger, so don't buy it expecting it to charge 18 wheeler truck batteries. For a medium size car battery, it is the ticket though and works a treat. Like many folks, I'm used to a charger with buttons, switches, and a meter on it. The charger this replaced had all of that. You know though, I can't say I miss it. Modern technology has changed and came a long way, resulting in microprocessors that optimize charging for us now - and that took me a minute to wrap my head around.This charger has NO buttons, NO readouts, nothing except a LED light that changes color depending on what the charger is trying to tell you. It's stupidly simple, and I like it like that honestly. The purpose of a battery charger is to.. Wait for it.. Charge a battery. It's nice to literally plug it in, hook it up, and let it do the thinking for you and do it's thing while you wait. When it's done, the LED will turn green. If you leave it plugged up, that's cool too, the instructions state the charger will kick over to a "maintenence / trickle" mode and not overcharge anything.I'm happy with it for what I paid, and hope it continues to serve my needs well.

First of all, I clicked on the 8Amp version & they sent me the 6Amp version. Unfortunately I did not notice this until after the Amazon return window was over. I was charged $63 for the 6 Amp, it is now $42. If that is not bad enough it will not charge any battery fully & instead of the green light coming on, it aborts on EVERY battery I have used it on after a few hours. Even tried it on TWO brand new batteries that I bought for my diesel pickup recently, did the same thing! Can't find anything on Amazon about a warranty! So in summary...I got charged too much for one I didn't order, it doesn't work properly & I can't return it!

Very useful and convenient

It is a bacis battery charger and battery maintainer. That is all you need. Just hook it up and forget about it, it will automatically switch to tender mode when batteries are fully charged. I have used it for my car and so far it works really good, my car battery always full and ready to go. If you live in a cold climate I recommend get this one for your car. No need to buy a fancy and more expensive one.

My camper is not driven enough to maintain the charge of the starter battery so I started researching battery charges. I got educated and quickly decided Schumacher was the only brand I'd buy. But which one? With a bit more research I decided that the ease of use and price point of the Schumacher SC1363 Fully Automatic Battery Charger, Maintainer was the way to go. Fully automatic, you simply connect it to the battery, plug it in, and let it do its job (with all appropriate precautions and and following manufacturer instructions). I'm not sure what sulfating is or if I should worry about it but the Schumacher SC1363 auto desulfates so I have that covered too! Metal body is not cheap and "tinny". I expect to have this unit for many years to come.

Does the job perfectly for what I need. Higher amperage would have driven the cost up - so I knew what to expect.I wish the LEDs were better laid out to help determine charging status - there is a reason why more expensive units have a different approach to indications.Recommended.

He comprado cuatro cargadores de distintos modelos de esta marca para cargar las baterías de mis carros y de mis motocicletas, son sencillos de usar y su relación calidad-precio es muy bueno.Este lo compré para cargar la batería de mi carro porque casi no lo muevo, la batería es de 37ah según la etiqueta, después de hacer investigación me di cuenta que para automóviles y camionetas ligeras no es necesario un cargador de alto amperaje, (según la información un amperaje del 10% de la capacidad de la batería es suficiente y no se recomienda que sea mayor a 10 amperes, en mi caso el 10% serían solo 3.7A para cargarla adecuadamente) esa es la razón por la que escogí este modelo de 6 amperes.Mi batería no estaba descargada completamente y tardó 3 horas en hacer la carga completa.En mi experiencia estos cargadores son confiables y nunca he tenido problema alguno, vale la pena pagar un poco más que lo que cuestan los cargadores de marcas desconocidas.
