Got the 3X and not even close for a 44 waist. Hope that helps

Not worth the money
A Chinese 33 does NOT equate to an American 5XL.And the underwear seems to be poorly made, cheap quality.

Size dropdown box is wrong
The size chart says small, med, large, etc. but the dropdown box says 25, 27, 29, 30, 31. So, I thought it indicated inches, and ordered the 31 (thinking 31 inch waist). I got a 3XL size. Way too big. So, I cannot comment on the construction or durability.
