Order placed January 13, 2017 arrived well packaged from Korea to Texas in 3 weeks .. wow :-) The chips were the right size brightness and color. I used a 9volt battery multimeter set on diode testing to dim-ly light each of the 16 leds backlighting the non working TV. The leds were arranged in a series circuit and removing the only failed/non lighting led from the TV resulted in breaking the led. I removed excess solder from the printed circuit pads using copper solder wick and applied a thin touch of solder to each of the pads and then a little flux to each of the pads on the led chip. Then carefully holding the led down so that the chip does not slide around and using a pointy solder pen I alternately heated each pad of the led. Note .. I broke 2 new leds trying to remove them after soldering them on with the polarity wrong , remember to use diode Test to identify and place plus on plus and neg on neg...and careful to center the dividing line of the plus and neg over the pads so as to not cause a short which would allow all the other leds to light but not the shorted one. Perfect replacement for 9 burnt out LEDs on my Sharp 48" TV. Buy with lamp desoldering hot plate and nudge the old LEDs off with soldering iron heated up to about 370C. Apply sticky no clean flux while on hot plate with a touch of new solder on the pads, drop the replacement LED on with tweezers, and take off hot plate as soon as possible when the solder wicks onto the LED. LEDs are quite heat sensitive so expect to burn up a few before getting a hang of it. But I felt like a master by the end of the job and can't recommend these lights enough. Matched brightness and color of the original LEDs on the Sharp TV.

These will not die on you like those other cheap ones do. I know because I put a lot of heat on these and they handled it no problem. The cheaper ones die if you just breathe on them (lol).

Like the light

Product (led) would work well if I could solder the tiny bead onto the TV backlight panel. They did work when tested; but because I couldn't adhere them to the strip, I was not able to use them at this time. Case closed. Decided to just replace the two 12 led tv backlight panel boards/strips. Still less expensive than buying a new tv.

Nice pieces. For 60 cents and a little time I repaired a $30 security light. This was possible because of the good specs given in the product description. They are very bright and very forgiving in the soldering process. Have been lit for 10 days continuosly without failure.

Worked great to replace faulty individual LEDs on the backlight strips of a 55" and 65" TCL smart TV. Way cheaper than replacing the whole strip.
