Feeding wild birds

The product is half dust very few whole sunflower hearts at all. I buy them for my chickens as well as the wild birds and there is nothing for them to scratch for as it is mostly very fine bits. I am disappointed to say the least I have not had a bag like this before but will not buy this particular one again

I thought I was ordering whole sunflower hearts.. It seems I was wrong

These sunflower hearts are mostly all ground up into dust, and the bag arrived split so it got all over the carpet, I can't put it in my feeder as it will clog up the bottom which is impossible to clean fully so it will go mouldy! So a complete waste! Truly shocked at this brand! The photos clearly show whole sunflower hearts! A complete con!

I cant provide a rating for Flavour as it's for the birds, but suffice to say is is a very welcome attraction for goldfinches and nuthatches- even robins who decide they're not so much a ground feeder after all. If you have squirrels, whether you love them or hate them , sprinkling these on the ground does prevent them from investigating/damaging the bird station feeders

I bought a bag of this a couple of weeks ago and it was perfect. Whole sunflower hearts, clean and exactly what was promised.Ordered another one because I was so pleased with the quality of the product and was disappointed to find it was made up of broken bits of hearts along with crumbs. The problem might seem trivial as the birds will probably eat it all, but getting it to stay in the bird feeder is a nightmare, as it simply pours out of the openings.It was as if it was made up of the bits from bottom of a large storage container. “The sweepings” as it were.This could have been a result of how the seed was stored, rather than the processing, but I was really surprised at the difference in quality in two bags of the same product.Will be looking at a different supplier to see if it is down to the way it was kept, because the initial bag was top rate.

Plastic bag with birdseed inside split right open as I cut the corner off to pour out carefully, but it ended all over our concrete garage floor and was difficult to pickup and deal with.I wasn't able to use the seed lost onto the floor which was most of it. I didn't keep any evidence like a photo, or the split package so haven't asked for a refund or replacement.
