Equine Exercise Physiology

Amazing
This book is awesome- it would be difficult to follow if you don't know the basics in Biology however some of it could be understood without. This book will forever change the way I approach conditioning my horse and also gave me a lot of respect for the demand we ask when we perform.I think people could learn SO MUCH from this and if they actually pay attention orient their conditioning program in a direction that emphasizes the longevity of soundness in their horse.Conditioning takes time- and a lot of injuries could be prevented if people took the time to do it the right way.Amazing book

Very detailed
This book was required for my equine exercise physiology class. It is a very detailed and informative source, however it is hard to follow if you have a teacher who basically reads from the book or assigns chapters without outlining and going into detail about the material.

The right information for a new trainer
My daughter has recently received her owner/trainer licence in Australia after years of breaking and pre-training racehorses. I have been purchasing several books through Amazon (books not easily available in Australia) regarding training and this one, with its easy to comprehend scientific approach to training is an excellent step up.

Exactly what I was looking for - an in-depth, yet digestible description of equine physiology. Very organised, clear explanations, despite the technical detail. There are quite a lot of terms only mentioned once in full and then abbreviated which I found a little difficult - having to keep flipping back in the chapter to remind myself what the initials meant. That is only a minor niggle however. This is a great book and will prove a great reference for many years.

Very quick delivery
I can't believe quite how quickly this book turned up! It seems very small for nearly £50 but it is what my sister really wants and she says it is fantastic so there you go ;-) Happy days.
