Excellent Book, as an Older - Letterpress Printer, now Retired Secondary School Teacher, this is a very Old Art in Printing, which will be lost if more and more people do not get, Correct Education into how many Practical Styles of Printing from "Metal, Wooden and various printing block styles," has made up Art of Letterpress Printing, yesterday upon Hand-feed Platens and Cylinders Machines, then onto more Automatic Printing Press, in and around this large world, etc;!

Book was delivered in perfect condition. Was exactly as described.

I work on the letterpress 4 or 5 days a week, teach classes and have students that ask so many questions on what everything is and how to do things, this book helped bridge the gap from my knowledge to true professionals knowledge.Recommended to anyone working on, near, or with letterpress machines.

I love it! and for the price I didn't care if the cover was torn off.

Outstanding

I am a letterpress enthusiast and enjoyed this book cover to cover. It considers history and equipment and presents color photographs on almost every page of letterpress art from many artists as well as "how to" photographs. It thoughtfully considers how to plan and design letterpress art as well as what it takes to execute a project. It is obvious that the authors are experienced teachers and love their medium.

Sadly, this book does not live up to its name. It is basically a walk through the department that the author teaches in, talking about her course. It does not give hands on advice or instructions about printing, which is what I wanted. I wish that I had not bought it.
