Silent Sentinels of Ranthambhore

I happened to visit Ranthambore and was very impressed by all the wildlife. I wanted take all this atmosphere back home to experience it at leisure and also gain knowledge about its famous tigers and their history and habitat. This is the best book by far and available online cheaper than offline. It has excellent photographs clicked by Bina Kak who was former minister for forests and tourism in Govt. of Rajasthan. She has been kind enough to share her experiences with the tigers in this lovely book with mind-blowing photographs. A must have for wildlife enthusiasts.

The highlight of this book is the splendid photography in the historic Ranthambore park. Not only are there photos of tigers, but there are also beautiful pictures of other associated wildlife, living alongside tigers. The biographies of legendary tigers along with splendid photography of their life, enchant readers. This book is a perfect gift for wildlife lovers.

A NICE MEMORY OF RANTHAMBHORE!

I "discovered" Ms. Kak had published this book on the Silent Sentinels of Ranthamhbore quite by accident on social media. As a result, I did quite a bit of research on her admirable work, not only in her official capacity of holding public office(s), but also on a personal level; I also "discovered" that she was photographer for this lovely "coffee table" book of Big Cat photography. In the end, I could not pass up the opportunity to get my own copy.As I am planning a trip to the sub-continent of India this year, (2019), I am interested in learning anything and everything concerning the many places I hope to experience. As such, it is not only the lovely photographs, but also the background provided about Ranthamhbore National Park, the generations of tigers that have been born and thrived there...as well as such interesting insights by and about Ms. Kak that makes this book one that I constantly peruse.I am fortunate that most of my grandchildren are fascinated by Nature and this book! I keep Silent Sentinels of Ranthamhbore easily accessible...the binding has seen much wear, but they treat the pages with utmost care.🙂Recommend for all big cat lovers.

A quality book in all respects. The finish and content of this tome is excellent, it is a great read and a book to be enjoyed and treasured.
