Process Consultation: Its Role in Organization Development

This book is Edgar Sheen's first volume in process consultation though it is the second edition. This book gives great insight into what a process consult should look like as a organization development practitioner. It is a quick read and very helpful to ensure proper consultation practice. For another good read from Edgar Sheen check out his second book called process consultation revisited building the helping relationship. the Nextbook takes a deeper dive into process consultation it also helps you look at the intraphysic process, what a client looks like, active inquiry and listening.it also has a perspective of intervention and the service of learning segment which goes through communication and deliberate feedback facilitative process interventions and facilitative process intervention dialogue and interpersonal process.

Product arrived in a very speedy 9 days (for an APO address this is fantastic!!) Needed this book quickly to replace the same book I ordered from another vendor a month and a half ago!I would buy from this vendor again any day! Surprised by how much I’m enjoying my process consultation course and this required text.

I had a client read part of this - specifically the part distinguishing between the types of consultants, and it helped him understand why the practice of observing and 'coaching' will be helpful in ways that any typical expert-driven, prescriptive approach could never be.

Used this book maybe twice for my class. Got an A in the class. Whoop

The best book on the topic.

This book is the great; I highly recommend it anyone that is interested in Process Consultation and/or Organizational Conflict Resolution.

This book is essential reading. It has stood the test of time, and gets to the heart of many aspects of helping people and organisations. Schein sets a high bench mark for thought provoking ideas and simple explanations. If you are a management consultant or manager, then put this on your wish list and buy it.

Thought provoking read!

The book is really useful. I have read it before from the library and happy to have my own copy. The condition of the book was brand new, very impressed with the company and delivery was really quick!
