Order one or two sizes up for comfort
I have worn this every night since its arrival! Be careful when ordering and read other reviews as the bust sizing is important. I'm about 5'4" , 134lbs and wear a 36 C. After studying other reviewers remarks I ordered an XL and glad I did.I washed it first and wore it the first night. I love a white cotton nightgown. Always have. But the prices have really gone up on this kind of nightgown and easily cost double this price. So I was a little skeptical but was delighted when it arrived.Let's discuss the packaging first. It comes in a sheer gossamer bag with little buttons. So lovely and great presentation. It would make a great gift! I will keep the bag and use it for lingerie because it's just too pretty to toss. This lightweight cotton nightie is exactly as described and not too fussy. Not too thin or sheer nd good for hot summer nights. I like the front bib detail and find it very comfortable. I wondered if all that bib detail would be uncomfortable but it's not.Generally I would buy a M but after reading reviews I went w XL and glad I did. It's been washed a couple of times and of course it's not going to sty as perfect as it was upon arrival but with a bit of smoothing while still damp, the pleats retain their shape. I expect the nightie will just get softer with time and washing. But some of my expensive white gowns were so thin and sheer and delicate, they tore very easily. Not this one. A little sturdier cotton. Not as butter soft but will have more durability over time and as cotton does, soften more with each wash and wear.Happy to have found this nightgown at a fair price and plan to purchase more as gifts because they come packaged perfectly for gifting.Winner.

Oddly proportioned and sized.
I love these "The 1 for U" night gowns. They are all made of high quality cotton and launder well. I let mine hang dry, and that keeps it crisper and, I think, makes it last longer. This gown, however is not my favorite...the gown I ordered is oddly proportioned. The front placket hangs sort of shapeless and baggy in the front, and the seam actually falls directly ON the bust, rather than below it, like an empire waist would. It doesn't matter, because that bust seam is not elasticized or tightly fitted, but it looks odd. The shapeless, baggy neckline doesn't fit close to the skin as it shows on the model photo, but gaps. I'm not small busted--38DD! But I think it is not really a "bust" problem as the fact that the gown's upper portion seems to be made for a woman with linebacker shoulders. Not sure how to describe it...just too wide of a neck opening entirely. Maybe I could have it altered? I have two other gowns from this maker, and both fit great! I got this one in a "large"--I am a size 14. But perhaps I should have gotten a "medium"--one of my other two gowns is a medium and one is large...so...who knows? Sizing seems a little inconsistent, dependent on the style of the gown. Lovely designs, but this is not a favorite!

Sleeves are too small!
I have another nightgown from this company that I love. I got this nightgown because I wanted a bit more room in the neck, which the square neckline provides. However, the sleeves are fitted, designed to be like a cap sleeves, and were too small. Because the sleeves have a solid band with a button closure, I can't easily modify them to fit either. My body is proportionally shaped for my size, I think they just designed these sleeves too small for most plus size women.

Nice but a little constricting
These gowns were intriguing to me as I only wear long, 100% cotton nightgowns. I ordered these in a medium as that size had fit me perfectly in a Vermont Country store brand nightie of similar style. I am 5'2" and about 130 lbs and I wear a 36C bra. While the quality and construction were high, for me the sizing was off. It was tight across the chest from armpit to armpit, somewhat above the bustline. For a shirt perhaps fine but for a nightie I want more room so as to be able to move during the night. Next time I would order a large, and would probably dye it with a natural dye for variety.

Its a beautiful gown, however
Its a beautiful gown, however, there is a seam that goes directly across my bust. It brushes up against my nipples and is annoying. If the seam and embroidery/detailing was sewn longer and underneath the chest area (empire waist) then this would have been better. I'm five foot three inches tall and my breast size is 34a. I ordered a size small which is the perfect size, however, I don't like the top part of this nightgown due to the above reason. I'm going to order another gown in a different style because these gowns are so beautiful!!

Love!
Love this gown! Orginally bought the Ruby, which is also lovely but not exactly my taste (I don't like buttons down the front, which inevitably don't stay buttoned, or the flouncy bottom of that style). Since I liked the quality just not necessarily the style of that gown, I tried the Lara even though I was afraid it would look granny-ish. It is not at all granny-ish in person IMO, my husband even loves it and he usually would hate a gown with this much coverage. The Lara is definitely my new favorite gown and I came back to order another one but my size is out of stock, will be waiting anxiously for it to come back in stock. Heads up for American buyers: the sizes are UK. I chose "somewhat small" above when asked about fit, but really this is true to size in UK sizing I would say, which is about one size smaller than US sizes.

Beware of shrinkage
This is the fourth gown I have purchased from this company, but it is the only garment that has had significant shrinkage. I tried this gown on when it arrived, and it fit as expected. It smelled strongly of gasoline, for reasons that are not clear. So, I laundered it, and when I went to wear it, I noticed it was too tight around the arms, and the trim at the bust. In short, the shrinkage was at the two places where the fabric was sewn circumferentially. So, it might be better in this gown to buy a size up if you plan to use a clothes dryer. It is of high quality, and attractive, but is really not comfortable after washing.

Not made for big boobs
Do not buy if you have breasts larger than a B cup. Otherwise a great piece.

A lovely garment
This is a well-made nightie and I think it is true to size. Obviously a nightie is going to be more loosely cut than day clothes to allow for comfort .I take a lot of weight on my arms since I had a hip replacement and my biceps are well-developed. I think that the sleeve could have been slightly more generous for me. The other style was fine. This nightie has a wide hem on the bottom as well as tucks and I think it will prevent it riding up.

What a lovely nightdress
Very pretty and I loved the pockets (handy in Winter when you want to get into your bed clothes as soon as you can). It really has lovely details around the sleeves and neck line, with little buttons and beautiful yoking. In terms of fit, I found it slightly large if anything - I am a standard 10 -12 with a small bust and I ordered a medium. I would order the smaller size in future. If you had a bigger top size you might go bigger rather than smaller, as the fit was good around the bust but big on the waist. It only gets 4 stars as although the cotton is lovely it it heavy weight and I worry that I would be too hot in it is Summer.

Fresh as a daisy
Have purchased several of these full length cotton nightdresses and they are so comfortable, cool and elegantly styled, feels sensational when freshly laundered. Well worth the money.

cotton nightdresses
I ordered the sizes for the nightdresses I usually order but they are very small on yokes, and are impossible to get onI don't usually have this problem, so they must have been miss labelled or the wrong yokes put on the nighties,I have since purchased two other nighties from another Company, same sizes exactly, and they fit if anything a bit bigso how come these sizes are so far out? Seems a bit odd to me there must be a mistake in labelling, shame really, they are so pretty.

Love this nightgown.
I love this. The fabric is thick, like a bedsheet, which I like, it's not see through . The front buttons down low enough for breast feeding, which was a plus for me. I have found this comfortable for summer and winter use.Only con is that the sleeves are tight and i recommend getting the next size up to be sure a comfortable fit as I found this style to be a little more fitting than other night gowns from this brand.
