book was slightly different from the book I thought I was ordering so it didn't match up with my class all the time, but that could have been my fault.

I can not say nothing much, because I still waiting on this book. But I guess I wont be the wrong one this time.

This book was the first book in the series of textbooks to prepare you to take the examinations for the CPCU Designation. This book prepared you for "510" which was required for both the Personal and Commercial "paths." This book has since been replaced with "500" which uses a book by the same name but the author of this book is now only a one of six contributors and the new book is only 8 chapters from 15, and its the first edition (as of January 2011). If you are looking for the current edition (as of today 12/30/11 - always check the aicpcu.org website before purchasing a book to make sure the one you purchase isn't out of date) then look for ISBN: 978-0-89463-412-3.Now for the old edition: at 15 chapters its just drawn out. The information is very introductory to say the least. If you have any finance/insurance knowledge/education or insurance industry experience then you probably won't find much new information. If you are looking for a book just to dip your toe in the water of insurance, this might be the book for you. In this old hardcover version- it will look nicer on your shelf than the newer, paperback version.Overall I would recommend getting the new version - its shorter, more to the point, and it makes the overall CPCU series less redundant by using the most current editions as The Institutes have been revising them and changing the tests around over the last couple of years to ensure that you aren't reading and testing on the same things in each of the 8 books in the series.

2005 print, chapters are little out of order, but it's in great condition and has everything needed.
