Truffle fix satisfied times two...
used this just last night --- after doing some Korean beef satay kabobs in my 12" Lodge cast iron skillet, threw in about a 1/3 of a stick of butter and a half pound of sliced white mushrooms (and maybe a 1/4 cup of an already opened Napa Cabernet) ... let it all reduce, and at the last minute drizzled some of the white truffle oil over it ... damn; i'm getting hungry all over again. suffice it to say, this oil is awesome; highly recommend it.

Differences might matter
Have been using white truffle oil for years in risottos, mashed potatoes etc. Tried out Truffle Hunter: IMO Urbani is better - has a subtler, richer flavor and although more expensive, is actually made in Italy as opposed to Truffle Hunter which as it turns out is made in England according to the label. Just OK if you have no other choice. Just my 2 c.

Not for me
The smell was off and the taste was bad. I knew I was never gonna use it again so I had to throw it out. super disapointed.I've used many similar products, as well as real truffles, and this is.... not good. It mostly has that taste of almost-spoiled olive oil. Looking for that warm, clean truffle flavor? This is not it. I guess you need to spend the extra to $5 and get something decent

I have never tasted truffle oil before, but after ...
I have never tasted truffle oil before, but after reading Steven A Gundry's MD (cardio thoracic surgeon). "The Plant Paradox" and trying his recipes, one of which is a delicious raw mushroom soup with a drizzle of truffle oil, I am in agreement with the Dr that it is delicious.A little pricey, but I guess that's to be expected and I probably won't use it that often and when I do only a little goes a long way.

Step Up to Gourmet!
Oh what a difference this truffle oil makes! Simply add it to sautéed veggies, or rub on chicken or fish before baking, broiling or grilling. This truffle oil elelavates food to gourmet level! I often include this in a cooking related gift. It comes in a cute little box which is perfect for gift wrapping or slipping in a gift bag. :)

It's not god awful terrible, but it's pretty bad.

First bottle was off, second is good
The first bottle I received seemed off, with an unusually bitter taste that overpowered anything I put it on. I've tried and normally like truffle oils in the past, even though I know most don't have any actual truffles in them. After I left a review, Truffle Hunter shipped me a new bottle. Night and day - the second bottle has a much milder flavor, closer to olive oil. It's still powerful, but it's the nutty flavor I'm used to in truffle oil rather than the weird bitter taste from the first bottle.

Smells like just Olive Oil
Smells like just Olive Oil. There are suppose to be Truffle flakes inside but there is nothing. The taste and the smell are that of Olive Oli. Will not buy again and do not reccomend.
