One of the three books that I'm consistently looking at
I've had this book for a couple of years now and there is a lot of great info here. Like many books, there are things that I personally may not completely agree with, but when I keep looking into what's here, I can only recommend.

Great info and fascinating historical context
Birren's study of the impact of color on psychology and physiology was groundbreaking in its time, and many of the color applications that are now seem so normal to us --yellow stripes on hazardous materials, muted green walls in institutional buildings, orange/ red /brown decor in fast food restaurants- have their roots in his work. This is not a touchy feely book about how color affects your mood, but a fascinating study of color's effect upon the body itself. It's a highly readable, highly informative classic in the field, and should be in the library of any designer.

Wasted money on this one
Absolutely not what I expected. The description is a bit deceiving. More about eye sight than psychology. Wasted money on this one.

Learn colour
A must for everyone that has to deal with colour, I may say Faber Birren to me is the founder of a scientific knowledge about colour.
