Unfortunately not the same as the 2016 Version.
While this version has cable pass through whereas the 2016 version did not, the missing features from the 2016 version not included in this version are a forward pocket in the main compartment as well as a rain cover. The materials are unfortunately lower quality also. The mesh on the inside top pocket has a bigger holes that could potentially be ripped easier by items in the pocket. The mesh on the outside padding is the same and is way less comfortable than the 2016 version was. All of this comes with the same $100 price as the 2016 version. It's unfortunate because I've used STM bags for years and I'm now starting to see the quality get worse in their products.

Good carry for any demand.
The backpack is good for traveling. Very well made. Capacity is decent as I can carry most of my camera and drone equipment with me. Good for a day or 2 project.

A little tablet than I was expecting. Makes it tough to zip the upper flap closed without using two hands.

beautiful but garbage!
It's absolutely good. You feel you can use it for decades and it remains nice and beautiful all the time!---I was wrong. it didn't last in Canadian weather for three months.
