Monte Carlo 3CLYR42RZWD-V1 Clarity II 42" Hugger Fan with LED Light and Remote Control, 3 Blades, Matte White

We bought (2) of these fans for my daughter's bedrooms. The fan itself works fine. However, the remote control units on both of them have continue to work intermittently. This makes using the fan and the light very difficult on a day-to-day basis. Monte Carlo technical support is cordial... but offer no help whatsoever. We've even asked about hard-wiring the fan and light so the remote can be by-passed. According the Monte Carlo tech support, this is not possible. We've never had so many problems with a ceiling fan and from what I understand, we are not the only consumers experiencing this problem - even on other Monte Carlo models. There are plenty of other fans by other manufacturers out there for this price that would be much better quality.

I purchased the 42" white fan for my office at home. It arrived on time and it was well packaged, no missing pieces. You will receive three pieces that you use to decide on having it controlled by remote control or from a wall plate (white and cream colors provided) I liked the remote control better. The designed is minimalist and modern, which matches everything else in my home. The light is LED dimmable, I believe in the 2700K temperature range. When you turn the light off it remembers the last intensity you used. The fan works well and it does not produce mechanical noise, however in the max setting it produces wind noise, which does not bother me because I always use the fans in the min setting. I had it installed by an electrician, who knew what he was doing, he did not read the instructions because he said it was a very easy (for him) and standard installation. It took him 30 mins from the time he came home until the time he left. I have already ordered the 52" version to replace the one in my bedroom.

We really like this fan. Noiseless at low level, a whisper when faster. Sleek, and close to the ceiling. At 42 inches, perfect over a 12x12 foot breakfast room table. Especially with independent fan and light dimmer capability. Assembly was straightforward; just read the directions. Up and running in 30 minutes. I would definitely buy this again.

The fan itself seems well made. Looks good and works well. The installation instruction are sketchy and hard to follow. Be careful on step #8. The hook to hang the motor is very helpful but after that it's hard to get the screws to all line up with the slots in the flange on the motor. Also only 3 holes on the housing lined up properly with the corresponding holes for the screws . This fan is kind of pricey and doesn't come with both a hand held and wall control remote per Amazon's item description so if your remote fails you'll be out of luck. I don't think I would have purchased it if I was aware of that.

Installed in a small bedroom used as a hobby room. No noise at all, easy to figure out the remote, can change directions using the remote so no climbing ladders to switch the button, lovely to look at (hard to find a white manly looking fan) and installed from box to ceiling in one hour. Can also dim the LED light! What a great product!!!!!

A great fan but I wish that the housing was smaller in diameter. Just a slight hum like all AC fan motors.

We purchased this fan for our bedroom. Found it to very quiet and great looking. Would certainly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a clean, solid looking fan. If we could give six stars we would. The remote control is an absolute must.

Looks nice, fairly quiet, but doesn’t have a very high speed and doesn’t throw off much air.
