Whirlpool W10271509 Ice Auger Drive Motor, White

I was really happy that I could diagnose the ice dispenser motor problem myself by doing research on-line. This was the exact part that I needed for my Kitchenaid Refrigerator. I did hire someone to install it for me, as I am not agile enough to do it myself. So far it works perfectly and I am very pleased that I do not have to open the freezer and scoop out the ice by hand any longer. During a power outage that lasted over 12 hours (power was supposed to come back on after 2 hours), the ice melted into the dispenser area and then froze over. I should not have tried to dispense the ice, but I did, and it burned out the Ice Auger Drive Motor. That was a mistake that I would never do again.

Just as advertised! Needed to replace the motor for the ice dispenser on my Whirlpool Gold fridge. Followed instructions on a YouTube video and had it replaced in maybe 10 minutes. Super easy!
