This is one of those rarest of headphones which just blows any sub 5k phones to dust.. Out of the box they sound mindblowing - with burn in they will probably only get better with age..I've owned sennheiser cx 180, beyerdynamic dtx102ie (my next favorite) but this is in a league of its own.The highs are bright and not harsh, the mids are deep and awesome to hear and the bass is superb and tight..All this is courtesy the 13.5mm neod drivers..This is a must buy for anyone who loves music on a budget. Ive paired it with a k4 note.. Go for it.. cheers..

review after using for two monthsits bit more than es18s.. the bass.. sound clarity is the same though..con:noise cancelation is too bad compared to any other headset at this range.. es18s was way better..not recommended for prolonged usage.. ended up with ear ache after using 4 hours watching movies.. which didn't happen earlier

One of the best for under 1k.. Fairly neutral sound.. Could have had a bit more treble.. But for the price these are above average..

Bought this pair when my es18 broke after more than 2.5 years. Using es20 since more than a year.Pros:-Great sound qualityNice pouch and extra earbuds.Tangle free rugged cord.Superb balanced music with great quality and clarity.Cons:-No mic so consider if you'd only like to listen to music.

I own so many ear buds in the range of 30 -60 dollars. I also own a few around 100 dollars. I believe these soundmagic buds are the best I own at this price point. Unboxing them I found them of very high quality. The cables have a heavy plastic coating which reduces tangling and I think it reduces microphonics as well. They feel heavy and durable.I was really impressed with the sound. The sound signature is definitely crisp and bright. I tired these while listening to jazz, R&B, folk and rock. It all sounded superb. Every note is heard with such amazing definition. Again the upper range has impressive clarity, mids are smooth and a little warm. Bass is there but somewhat muted. I tried listening to some hip hop and other bass heavy songs. It was good but I cant say I was blown away. For most people these buds will do very well.

Excellend sound range and fits my ears perfectly. This is my 2nd SoundMagic headphones and I feel they are the best for such a low price. Bass is decent and mid-range is excellent. I don't really listen to much music with a high range to evaluate that part.

These are the best in-ear earphones I have owned. I have purchased a number of highend in-ear earphones including Bose, Sony and Beats that were fine but usually wore out after a year. I have had these for more than a year and they still work well. After spending hundreds of dollars on earphones, I am so happy to find these at this amazing price. Buying more today to give as gifts and to have back ups.
