Pretty good for the price and versatility
Does what you need it to do! I feel like it would have been nice to lock the Bowens mount into the outer housing so that it doesn't spin freely as you are trying to mount. But it's good for the price and works

Exactly what I needed
I use this to adapt my Wafer softbox designed for my SpeedoTron Black-line light heads to my Apurture light heads.

A rust-free replacement
I really like how this is designed to fit various types of softboxes shapes which makes it really useful for me personally. I feel the price is fair as it is very specific to meeting a photographers needs. The anti-corrosion is a real good selling point for me, as my existing has tarnished quite a bit and appears now to be rusting - not the best look for your clients!

Perfect for the price
This does the job for a fraction of what more expensive Bowens mounts cost. It doesn't lock into place (the ring rotates the softbox), but you can rotate a rectangular box to landscape or portrait and it holds in place well without drifting.

It works as expected - its a plain metal ring afterall
To be direct: This is exactly what you expect. Its a straightforward 'old school' metal speeding that you'll slot your poles into in order to setup a softbox. There's nothing big and fancy to this; there's no folding mounts or what not. You have lettered slots to make it a bit easier to match rod to intended slot if that's something you're concerned about, but its honestly pretty straight forward.Its a decent chunk of metal, and I don't see it having any major issues - but I cant say that I've stress tested this against the more expensive ones.If you want a basic, solid, and affordable speedring: This is probably one of your best bets.
