Getz/Gilberto Transcribed Score - Stan Getz & Joao Gilberto Feat. Antonio Carlos Jobim

One of my favorite albums of all time. Complex chords but easier to play than you might think. Has standard notation as well as tabs for guitar and bass, also chord notation. Worth the money.

It's a transcription of every track on this LP, fully-scored (no reduction/arranging), and the guitar parts even have tabs. Truly a great buy for any jazz musician who wants to faithfully replicate the "original" without spending countless hours deciphering which note is which, and when each note gets played in what order etc.Tl;dr it's a time-saver for anyone who wants to cover the songs in the album without listening to little snippets over and over again.

I wanted this score so I could play along with the music. Wasn't sure it would be helpful - but it exceeded my expectations. Great tool for following along with the music, and learning the bossa nova beat.

Don't buy this on kindle, get the book instead. It is to tiny to read the music.

The lyrics are error-ridden, for example Spanish 'tan' is used instead of the Portuguese 'tao' (with a `~' over the 'a'), 'Spanish 'mia' when it should be 'minha', and 'e' (for 'and') where it should be 'e' (with an accent mark above) for 'is'. Portunhol, as they say.

Music is pretty much perfect, but format is so hard to use on the ipad. playing the guitar part requires turning the page every 8 bars. it would be great if there was a real digital version where you could select only the part you want to read and it could be outputted to a PDF and printed or at least saved in a reduced size format without the parts you are not interested in.

The content is fine, very well done. My problem is the format. Kindle for PC has no way of zooming in on an image (as opposed to text where you you can change the font) and what is displayed is unreadably small. You can printscreen and zoom in Paint, but the result is blurry and barely legible.

I’m an intermediate level guitarist (as a hobby), and have played many of these tunes for decades and listen to the tunes from the original CD, as a big fan of both Jobim and Getz. As a matter of fact the associated CD (not included), is one of my all time favorable CD !It is so much fun for me to grab the guitar chords in their exact position and required inversions such that I can play along with the original recording CD and sound in perfect pitch and harmonic halo nirvana. I can even sing alone given the lyrics which are included. I play the CD on my super Hi-Fi stereo, while I play my guitar through a Fender Princeton Reverb Special addition with 12” Celesion cream speaker).The next goal is to copy the CD into Band-In-a-Box, and strip out the guitar and Sax (solos) and attempt to add Stan improvisation with the guitar…

Great book...I purchased to catch with the drums part particularly for the Girl from Epenima well written clear and consice.

Suono il sax da un anno ma lo volevo ad ogni costo. Seguo lo spartito ascoltando il cd in attesa di imparare abbastanza per suonare.

Absolut unleserlich klein, egal ob auf einem 27" iMac-Bildschirm oder auf dem Kindle selber. Überhaupt nicht geeignet. Ich habe das Buch wieder zurück gegeben. Schade, ansonsten wäre es genau was ich gesucht habe.
