Perfect SMALLER carry-on
This is NOT a big carry-on that strains the size limit of overhead bins, especially if flying internationally or on a smaller regional jets. This is a "smaller" carry-on so know what you're getting! But if that is what you need, you will never find a better quality bag. The TravelPro bags will literally last you decades. You see flight crews with them for a reason. Yes they are pricey, but quality comes at a cost. You can rationalize spending a hundred bucks more for an excellent, well crafted bag like this knowing you will not be throwing it out after a couple years because something broke like happens on the cheapies. This rolls incredibly well for a bag you pull, smooth & silent. The bag's material is heavy duty, nice looking construction, top quality, classy. And you NEED those little zippered pouches in front for your ticket or passport of wallet or cell phone or other small things for fast access to, beware of bags with no small front zippered compartments, you'll miss that convenience. So just note this is 3 or 4 inches smaller than the "full size allowable" carry-on. It is the same width as the others, a couple inches shallower, and 3 or 4 inches shorter, so the inside compartment is indeed smaller than those full size carry-ons. But hey, sometimes you don't need a big bag, right? This one is for a short trip where you only need to take a few days of clothing...think 3 day weekend getaway trip, not week long vacation, and you'll be quite happy with this. You'll never go wrong with a Travel Pro.

Quality bag
I’m very happy with the quality materials and ingenuity used in making this suitcase. I tried to order the Maxlight 5 but couldn’t get the color I wanted due to product availability. After 20 years of using a Costco special, it finally wore out, so I did a lot of research trying to find something equally as good. Costco didn’t have any roll aboard styles available l, and I didn’t want valuable pack space taken up by wheels with the spinner style. Travelpro met my needs overall and at a price point that was cheaper than others. Just used it on my first trip with several flights. It is east to maneuver in airport parking lots, airport escalators and in narrow isle ways in planes. Likewise, east to fit in the overhead bins on planes. On our return home, we had to check our bags, which involved the bags being handled by baggage people to move it on multiple flights. I was concerned with how it might fare upon pickup at baggage claim. Not a scratch or a mark from that process was present. The two zip pockets on the front are small and good for holding my belt or other small items I need east access to. The larger front pocket was a great place to stow my coat. The top opens up to easily access the inner compartment for maximum cargo room. The inner tie downs are an unexpected benefit.I also find the suit area on the inside of the top isn’t needed. The extra pad for this is easily removable though, which freed up the space for extras. All in all, design ingenuity and quality construction are the key attributes of this carry on bag. I love it.

I love this bag
I travel about twice a month for work and I need to pack for 1-3 nights each time. I was using a Maxlite 5 roll aboard but I was getting tired of doing the bundle method for packing shirts and suits. I saw this bag with the built-in suiter and thought this is what I needed. However I didn't want to pay this much so I searched for a suiter I could fit in the Maxlite. I couldn't find anything that would work, and my son's carryon broke so I decided to bite the bullet and buy this bag and pass down the Maxlite to him. The suiter is wonderful. I read reviews about it being too narrow but for me it works perfectly. I have gotten full suit and shirt in there easily for work trips, and up to 7 resort style shirts for vacation. When I arrive, I can just take out everything on hangers and hang it up straight away with few wrinkles. I love the ZIP in toiletry bag and the bags built into the tie downs are great for ties. The wheels are so smooth when rolling through the airport. I haven't really used the battery function because when flying the small regional jets they make you gate check and remove the battery. So for me that is a bit of a pain and therefore wasted space. But that's a minor complaint... this bag is totally worth the price and I wish I would have gotten it sooner.

Great CarryOn bag
I love this bag. Roomy, lightweight, rolls well. Telescoping handle is sturdy. Interior packing pouches are handy, though I use packing cubes so don’t really need them. My only complaint is the front outside zipper pockets are very shallow, maybe only 6” deep—I wish they were the entire length of the front of the bag to be more useful.

Good quality, looks nice
This is really good quality and has worked well my first few trips with it. I do worry as another review pointed out that the metal zippers will snag on clothing and other things. Also, I still can't seem to figure out how to use the internal garment hanging mechanism. My suits get wrinkled pretty bad with it.

Great carry-on case
Not inexpensive but worth the price. Perfect size for (US) carry-on. Plenty of space, very maneuverable, well made.

What a Disappointment
I've had a TravelPro with included suiter/garment bag for almost 20 years, and it's fantastic. This Travelpro Platinum Elite Softside Expandable Luggage, 2 Wheel Upright Suitcase is just the opposite. Right out of the box, it looks and feels cheap and shoddy. The handles are affixed with regular ol' hardware store metal screws and the Phillips head indentations in the screws are sharp and jagged - I think I'd likely end up with cuts on my knuckles if I actually kept and used this bag. The zippers do not open and close smoothly - they feel like they'd break very soon. The "suiter" is a complete joke - one panel of a cardboard-like material covered with nylon with one attached rod: How in the world is someone supposed to fold and pack a suit into this? It's just ridiculous. After my long and very good experience with my old TravelPro, this all came as a shock to me, because this new one is just cheap and awful. Also, beware! If you want to return it, they charge you! No free returns!

Terribly expensive, but very very nice
I have a large set of older Platinum bags, and bought two of these specifically for carry on use. They are vastly lighter than my older set, and don't seem less durable. As I strongly prefer two wheeled bags, this was a no brainer pick.Size-wise, it is absolutely as big as you are going to get away with as carry on.

Durable suitcase with some nice feautures.
The suitcase matched the description perfectly. It’s got quite a few pockets inside and out to keep things flat, or hidden away. The one thing I didn’t, or maybe haven’t gotten used to is the placement of the liquid and gel pocket. If you’re packing a full suitcase it’s a pain to have wrestle it if you’re asked to. Not all airports ask. I’ve only taken a few flights with it so far. It’s a bit on the pricey side (in Canada) but the build quality is good and everything is right where I packed it. The lifetime warranty sold me.

Perfect business carryon
Perfect carryon for my husband who “used” to travel all the time for work. This is to replace a battered carryon that he liked and was having a hard time letting go of. He can’t wait to use his new Travelpro. Says it ticks all the the boxes for him.

A great bag.
Great bag, I love it.But the metal zips have given way and now they can't zip close.
