Q: Has anyone tested the accuracy of this watch at detecting Germans?

I've had this watch for a few weeks now, and it never sensed any Germans. Then, unexpectedly at noon the other day, the watch went bonkers. At which point I knew Germans were in the area. It hasn't gone off at noon, or any other time since; thusly this was a valid German alarm.

Q: I need the altimeter to be absolutely precise at least in the first 100 ft. Will it fit this requirement?

This watch is a huge bargain. I've had 2 of them. Each cost less than what it used to cost to REPLACE the battery in my Avocet altimeter watch! And replacing the battery is as easy as any Timex. If what you are interested in is how much altitude you have gained or lost, just reset the TRK function and start the watch. It will show you how much you have gone up or down. And after going up and down a while, you can see how high you are relative to where you started (e.g. currrently 20 feet above start point.) Of course, if the weather (and therefore barometric pressure) changes during the day, the numbers will be off a bit. But that's not the watch's fault; it's measuring air pressure changes accurately.

Q: Does the compas work. If so how?

The compass (not compas) works. The outer band on face is a fixed compass rosetta......With N E S W marked and when you click on compass, you get a digital readout of degrees as you turn the watch. Q: How many time zones? World time?

I has a second timezone (T2) that is free to set to any time you want.

Lost all sensors when changing battery

This watch was fine for reading temperature and altitude, but when I had a watch-repairman change the battery, all sensors went off and I have not been able to reset them. It is just a regular watch now...
