Nifty little device.
After reading the many reviews and watching youtube videos for this product I decided to go ahead and order it. What I want it for is to bring it away with me and beable to upload RAW images from my camera SD card to my phone/tablet. It is super easy to set up, I would recommend installing the app AIRSTOR from the playstore (android) rather than the ravpower file hub. But I came into a few problems trying to upload raw images I had previously shot. I started to doubt that I bought the wrong product..so after plenty of research and reviewers help here, also the seller themselves I was finally able to view my raw images on my phone using the app RAWDROID demo. I would like to thank all the other reviewers on here for their help and especially the seller, excellent communication. I havent used this product to its full potential but I would recommend it over a wifi SD card ( which I also researched). I highly recommend this seller and product.

Well Made and Reliable Device that gives your IOS/Android Device a Welcome Hand!
This is an excellent piece of kit! The only downer is the slow card reader/writer.SETUP:I did encounter a problem when first setting the device up, I assumed it would be as simple as my device detecting the wireless signal, tapping connect, entering the security info and done. It turns out that there is an initial setup of the device which has to happen first by connecting via IP, it takes only a few a seconds and a device reboot but it was simple enough after that.APP:The RAVPower App is not perfect - I would go as far as to say usable but not very productive. For instance the app cannot copy folders of files (or at least it would for me) - I had to resort to ESFile Explorer a much better alternative and very useful app, I would recommend this app over the RAVPower app, at least until they improve it anyway.PERFORMANCE:The read speed is more than adequate for my needs and I have not tried a 1080p video so I cannot attest to its performance at that level. 720p works perfectly - no slowing down, audio sync issues, video stutters or artifacts. The copying however (through router NOT via hotspot - not tried yet) is a little disconcerting but the speeds are as advertised "Read: 3MB/S Write: 3.5MB/S" so can't really complain.USE AS BATTERY:Not Tested.DEVICE CONSTRUCTION:The device itself is made out of plastic, as most things nowadays are, however it feels well-made, sturdy and looks the part with a nice glossy finish. There are LED indicators for the Battery, WiFi, Read/Write Status & the WAN which apart from initially setting up and checking charge I have not had the need to check, which speaks to its reliability.OVERALL:It is a nice compact and useful piece of kit that could do with a little improvement here and there, but it is by far a most reliable and well made product that boasts nothing it cannot achieve nor do. So if you are looking for a device to...- ...easily copy files from IOS/Android to SD Card/Ext. HDDor- ...stream files to multiple devices (up to 5) simultaneouslyor-...to provide an extra power boost to a dwindling device, on the go...then look no further than this gem.

Edit MS documents saved in memory sticks, without internet access
This is one of my best technology buys - ever.Of course this functionality should have been built into the iPad, but it wasn't.My prime reason for purchasing the product was so that I could edit documents saved on remote storage. Yes, you can do that if it is saved to the cloud, and you have internet access. But sometimes you don't, or at least I don't, especially when travelling.Buy this gizmo. Follow the instructions to set it up, it takes about 10 minutes for a novice. Insert your USB memory stick or data card, download the RAV FileHub and AirStor apps (both free) and suddenly you can click on the files stored on the remote memory to edit them on your iPad. I'm sure it does all the media stuff as well, but what I have wanted for the past year was a way to edit files on my iPad that I had created on my PC or MAC without having to remember to email them to myself or have access to the cloud. And now I can. At long last, with a subscription to Office365 (other office apps are available!) the iPad may just have become a serious business tool. One small caveat - I can open .doc, .docx, .xls and .xlsx, but not .xlsm, which is a pity, but enormously better than nothing.Year later - Still working well - and started watching video through it too - worked perfectly
