GREAT book

My 2 grandsons (age 8 & 9) were in virtual school this year. My daughter set up a weekly Zoom hour of reading class: Reading with Gramma. They read to me, and I read to them. Walter is their favorite. I don't know why little boys think farts are funny, but they do!

My daughter (7 yrs old) read this book to me and we both cracked up with laughter. She loved it so much she read it to everyone that came for a visit and even read it to her school mates. She’s one of the few doing in classroom learning...

Poor Walter... The previous book took some bad hits from on-line reviewers saying that the message of the book was bad, that other books are too similar, that the artwork is not good... I don't know, I kind of like this type of book, and my daughter (4 yrs old) seems to as well. She doesn't seem confused by the story and doesn't turn her nose up at it.. In fact, she likes to look at the artwork, and the trials and tribulations of poor Walter and his flatulence problem are enough to hold her attention and to entertain her. Farts are a common subject for kids' books nowadays, and I think it's a natural curiosity. The Walter Books are a cute entertaining series, and "Rough Weather" book tells what happens when a scientist tries to stop the farts with a special machine, and Dad tinkers with the formula, sending poor Walter skyward!!! If your child is as amused by farts as my little princess, get this book and you will be pleased with it as a reading option.

I gave the whole Walter set to my grand daughter for Christmas. She wanted me to read one of the books. She was assigned to squeeze the stuffed Walter at the appropriate times during the course of the book reading. I used my most animated voice. In short, everyone laughed a lot and we had a great time reading all of Walter's books.

I enjoy every one of the 'Walter' books. Lessons learned, and a delight to read to my grandchildren! The artistry is awesome also!

Bought as a story to read to some boys uninterested in books or reading. They loved the concept of the story

Christmas gift for 4 year old grandson. As all 4 year olds was very taken with the subject matter and laughed out loud at Walter's antics. What better response could you want.

Bought for our 8 yr old at christmas. He isnt the most confident reader but was so keen to read this because it was about a farting dog. He thought it was hilarious (so did we) and has read it multiple times since.
