Treal Brass Widen Wheel Hubs Hex Pins +5 and Steel Stub Axle (Portal Drive) +5mm Set Assembly for Traxxas TRX-4

The TRX4 is known to be top heavy, but you don't buy it for a competition crawler. I had a limited budget but wanted the correct way to widen the track just a few milimeters. I didn't want to go down the route of just longer wheel hexes, but actually put strength into the axle by getting longer axle shafts and hexes.Pros: These installed without any issues. The large drive gear inside the portal slipped right onto the shaft and had little to no play, and this goes for all 4 corners. 5mm was the perfect width to go to as its a small amount you can barely tell over stock, but should increase hill climb stability, get better traction on rocks to the side, and make the rig have an agressive stance. Also, there is little to no rubbing on fenders, at least no more than how much the truck had originally, except the front that I will explain next. I have tried several wheels and they all fit snuggly on the wheel hex.Cons: None for the product. But beware, the front tire may rub slightly on the front fender corner, if this is an issue for you, trim the fender, but this should by no means sway you away from this product.Overall: As an engineer, I approve of the quality of this product and its fitment to other parts around it, and would recommend this product to my friends/family and to those looking to purchase this part. I will glady search for Treal parts the next time I am in the market for more Traxxas TRX4 parts.

A couple of the axles didn’t fit the bearing. Terrible quality control. Manufactured too thick on some spots so it wouldn’t fit. Was too late to return so I am stuck with something that doesn’t work!**UPDATE**Changed to 5 star for great customer service and for a product that works.Manufacturer contacted me about the issue i was having with the bearing fitment and offered to send me a replacement. I finally got around to installing them and they are a perfect fit.It works great to fit all the available wheels that are for sale here on amazon and clears the TRX-4 axles with no more rubbing. Without these, you wouldn't be able to install 90% of the aluminum wheels that are for sale here.

Having learned my lesson from the differential internals swap over. I’ve turned all of the “Suspension and Performance” upgrade installations to my local professional. He agrees with the review that was made by the engineers review. Using these IS the correct way of widening the foot print of a Crawler. So I second that statement,

This gave my TRX-4 the perfect stance and wheel base! The quality over all is amazing as well as the hardware that comes with it! Installations was pretty straight forward I have no issues with the hex heads fitting in my wheels everything fit nice and snug! Over all I highly recommend them over the U.S competitors!

They are high quality, but i’m havkng lots of trouble actually getting them to fit, i think the spacer is slightly to long or something.

Needed some wheel spacers to clear some aftermarket beadlocks. This kit was perfect. When I got the kit it was the wrong one, but it was labeled for a trx4, so an honest mistake, that stuff will happen. Dropped it off at my local kohl’s for a free return, new one showed up in a couple days, no big deal. Awesome product, good quality, adds some weight to the axles and clears bigger tires. What more do you want?

They are the same as the stock ones just longer you will have to put shims in them to try and make them workI sent them back no happy at all a waste of time

Everything I buy and install from Treal is perfect and made very well. I came across their products by mistake. It has been the best mistake ever.
