Bright, waterproof, and work great.
I purchased these lights to replace the "waterproof" lights already on my trailer. After doing a light check on the original lights I found they mostly did not work. Upon disassembly I found them full of water, including inside the gasket areas. The amount of corrosion was amazing. They were total garbage. These were easy to install, are super bright, and work correctly. Before installing I took one of the lights and submerged it in my kitchen sink for several minutes. It is waterproof without a doubt.I probably would not recommend using the included electrical connectors, which are pretty standard. There's nothing wrong with them except they are not waterproof and they will be installed in an area that will be submerged. That would effectively put power to ground. I purchased some heat shrink solder connectors for my connections and they worked great and are completely waterproof. Plus they look nicer and are easy to hide with the included clips.I cannot comment on lifespan, but hopefully I can update this review at the end of the season as to how they are holding up.

Excellent quality bright lights, and ample wire. Great quality components.
UPDATE to the UPDATE (increased rating from 2 starts to 5 stars):I contacted Wellmax about the problem I had with the Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) wiring. They got back to me immediately! They assured me they always use full copper wires (and never use CCA wire because they fully understand the poor durability of CCA) but would check with their supplier. In the mean-time, they sent me a replacement wiring harness and I received it in just a few days. Upon close inspection, it is truly copper wire and not CCA. I suspect their supplier slipped in a few CCA wire harnesses and I was victim of one of them. Thank you Wellmax. Everything else about this kit is top-notch as well and recommend this kit.UPDATE (lowered rating from 5 stars to 2 stars):Beware that the wiring provided is made from copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire. Which means the wiring is made from aluminum and is very prone to quickly oxidizing and becoming very bridle. It starts out being fragile, and just gets worse over time and with exposure to the elements. I live in a fairly rainy environment and the core wire within the ground wire (white) disintegrated within 6 months and was no longer usable (the full length of the wire was fully oxidized). Since the wire is molded into the main plug, I now need to replace all the wiring. I will be replacing the wiring with 16 gauge copper wire (no aluminum). If you live in a very dry climate, the copper clad aluminum may be fine for you. The other components of this kit are great quality and have had no problems with them.Copper clad aluminum wire is aluminum wire which has been treated with small amounts of copper electroplating. The amount of actual copper cladding on the wire is extremely minute and is mainly applied to give the appearance of being copper. When new, it appears to look like copper wire on the outside, but beneath the extremely thin coating of copper is the cheap aluminum. CCA is used to reduce the cost because copper is a lot more expensive than aluminum.ORIGINAL POST:This package contained all I needed to replace all the lighting and wiring on my utility trailer. Lights appear to be excellent quality. When ordering, I was worried that the length of the wire would be short, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find the length to be way more than I needed for my 12 foot trailer. Included good instructions. The included license plate holder was a nice bonus, which I used to replace the bent-up rusted metal one. I definitely recommend this kit.First trip out with the trailer was 4 hours on the interstate highway, all through heavy rain. All the LED lights shined bright all the way.

Lights work GREAT!
As they were, they would have still been awesome. However I had a 1976 Popup camper that had internal lights that were damaged and I couldn't find parts. These wellmax lights, I was originally going to just attach to the bumper. After looking inside one the LED lights(in a fully enclosed shroud, happened to fit inside the existing lenses on the camper. WIN! WIN! WIN!, so I was able to take the internal components, hook them up to the camper wiring and now the camper has SUPER bright tail lights, that work very well!! All the items in the kit was super handy as well, the extra cabling, reflective tape, etc. It really was a crazy good value!

Bad wires, good customer service, we'll see...
I installed this kit last fall (Sept 2018), I soldered all of the connections and used braiding to protect the wires at all pinch/rub points. I pulled my boat out of the water for the year, and stored the trailer under my deck for the Michigan winter. While storing it, I busted one of the lights which is totally my fault. I ordered a replacement light and installed it yesterday (April 2019). One of the wires was fine, but the yellow wire was completely corroded and falling apart. I could not get solder to stick to it and when trying to strip back the insulation the wires would just fall apart. I thought I finally had it back together, but when I tested it only half of the tail light I just replaced worked along with one of the running lights. The other tail light and running light was totally dead. So, after one trip to the launching ramp and 7 months of storage, it is all rotted out. Also, my daughter brushed the license plate holder with the lawn mower and snapped it clean off. Not sure how hard she hit it, but I would expect this to be pretty strong or flexible so you don't leave it on the highway.I ordered this because it claimed the wires were copper and high quality, but they are junk in my opinion. I will contact the Mfgr. to see if there is anything they can do.UPDATE: Emailed Wellmax on a Sunday requesting a new wiring harness, and they responded within 30 minutes. They stated that they had a bad batch of wire last year (2018), and that it has been corrected with their supplier. Sent them my Amazon order information and even though it is outside of their warranty window they will correct the situation. I'll update this review pending resolution...UPDATE: Added a star for good customer service. An entire new kit was shipped to me and I installed the new wiring to the original lights. The wiring looks the same as the original so we'll see how it holds up over time. The lights work fine and the LEDs are bright.
