PFC Z-Rated Pads for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 (1001.11)
I bought these because of a recommendation from a friend. I was actually looking for the race-spec pad, but due to my own confusion I wasn't able to find them (although I now know that Amazon sells them). I previously ran the Endless CCRG's, which is a Japanese brand ceramic-carbon pad with a heat range of 50~800 degrees celsius (according to their website). I track my car getting up to 100+mph (160+kph) at two different points that require hard braking (two hard 90-degree turns) at the current course I run (Sodegaura Forest Raceway in Japan). The CCRG's cost at least $175+ for the front set and make LOTS of dust/noise and is, overall, a better pad. The upside of the PFC Z-rated pads is that when they get up to temperature, they are, in my opinion, 95% as reliable as the CCRG's (the course I run doesn't require consistent heavy braking or high speed braking like that of Fuji Speedway, so I cannot comment on any type of brake fade yet). They are also super quiet, even when heated up. The downside of the PFC Z-rated pads is that they are noticeably a poor performer when cold; nothing crazy....but would say similar to an OEM pad.......not something I would have thought being an aftermarket pad. I was skeptical of their performance on the track because of how they performed during my daily trips to/from work, but was quickly convinced that they are indeed a high performance pad. Under the current track conditions, they do their job when needed and are, for the value, a great deal.

Great for the $; still like Ferodo DS2500's though.
I purchased these to replace the worn front pads on my Evo X. I think these are decent street pads at a very good price; however, I still prefer the Ferodo DS2500 pads these replaced. There is a bit more fade to these than the DS2500's when the car is really moving and needs to slow down quick.Pros: price, good street pads, less brake dust, quietCons: more fade than other streetable pads like the Ferodo DS2500Summary; if you don't care about matching or exceeding OEM braking performance get these over other street pad offerings (magic pads). They are better priced, are quiet and offer decent performance. If you want a pad that performs similar or better than stock; these are not it, you will have to pony up the $$ and get a set of DS2500's.

Great, but some noise
Pads work great on my 06 Acura TL. I have had them installed for about 1500 miles. I have noticed some noise after the brakes are heated up at initial brake grab, mostly at low speeds. I have tried cleaning the brakes a couple of times hoping that would stop the noise but no luck yet. I had this same type of pad on an 09 Civic and they were great, no noise at all. That was why I got them for my TL. I'm not giving up yet.
