2 x Easy-Do Hobcare Kettle Descalers from Caraselle

Large wire sacrificial limescale descaler, pop it in the kettle and let the limescale attack it rather than your expensive kettle element. If you want you can clean from time to time. Have used these for years to protect / prolong kettle life, and find they work really well. This is a larger one that previously used, and great value for money. Must help save money in long run, as prolongs lifevof kettle, as well as keeping element clear, which presumably means it heats the water up quicker than if it was covered in scale.

These scale-traps usually have a shape and size like a half wine-cork. Received this yesterday and gave it a quick rinse and popped it into my kettle. Overnight I checked up on it and unfortunately it had started forming rust. I bought two of these and I'm not confident to try the other one now. Would rather limescale than rust in my water.

Doesn't really help so am buying a Brita water filter

Very disappointed with this product as it doesn't do what it's supposed to and still getting an enormous amount of chalk in the water from the kettle.

I use these all the time they do a great job in our hard water area, no need to use any other cleaner.

Works ok, supposed to keep all lime scale off the kettle but at least it will be much easier to clean

Pretty rubbish to be honest. Still emptying limescale out of the kettle and it's still building up at the sides and on the heating plate. Absolutely rubbish.
