I would buy this outfit based on your child's current size in girls clothes so if your child normally wears a size 7 I would get the size for age 7/8.The outfit is really cute. The skirt has a purple underlay that's a full skirt that provides coverage and the rainbow tulle pieces with ribbon at the bottom are sewn onto the waistband. I washed the item in a lingerie bag in cold water on delicate, hung to dry when it came out of the wash I'm not quite sure what happen when it dried but the tulle pieces don't line up exactly anymore so when it's being worn you can clearly see the stripes of purple underskirt. The t-shirt is not cotton as far as I can tell I think it's reacts more like a microfiber so stain removal is a bit of a challenge. I think the T-shirt lengthwise is true to size but if you have a child that has even little bit of a tummy you're definitely going to have to upsize unless you want a tighter fit across the stomach (it's more like a slim fit tee).This was a birthday outfit for a turning six-year-old who normally wears a size 7 in pants and 7/8 in shirts because she has a long torso. The shirt fit but it was a little snug, had I gone with the age sizing it would have been way too small.All in all she adored the outfit and loved the headband. I was hoping since it was a 7/8 she might be able to wear it again next year but based on sizing I don't think that's going to happen. Regardless for $15 it was well worth to have a cute birthday girl outfit.

Great quality shirt. Soft and stretchy. True to size. We bought it a size larger because my daughter is big for her age. We would have been perfect with the listed size for her.

She loved the outfit for her 5th birthday. Got size 5 and 6 and it for perfectly. Shirt was long came down to her buttocks but fit throughout the chest and arms. Minor detail. Overall it was a hit with her. Minus the sash. For me it was either the sash or the headband and she choose the headband. We paired the tutu with jeans and knee highs but leggings or tights could work also. Also you don't need a tutu slip with this..it's perfect and the colors are vibrant

My daughter was five turning six. We got the size 5/6 y/o size.Imperfections:The shirt fit more like a 6/7. The unicorn print also was not perfectly centered it was lower. So low that only the unicorn was visible and the words “Birthday Girl” were not visible with the Tutu on.That would’ve normally been a deal breaker but this was a last minute outfit and the entire outfit itself was still cheaper than having a unicorn shirt personalized and sent out therefore, Amazon for the win!If I could’ve done it over with having more time. I would’ve ordered one size down. The shirt was decent material but I also haven’t tried to wash it yet so perhaps if anything goes wrong I will update this review.All in all it was a decent value.

Warning about this skirt: all the color panels are separate. Make sure you little girl wears leggings or shorts under the skirt. However, my daughter LOVED this outfit. It fit her great and the length of the skirt was perfect. She will most definitely wear the skirt again and again. When we got it home everything was exactly as pictured. The colors were vibrant and the unicorn horn fit her head. Also, the headband is not to tight that it is uncomfortable.

It was flat , but I place a small tutu like slip to make it stand/fluff out more and it was perfect. Size 6 fits well for my 5 year she’s tall

First off, the one star is not for the product itself, but directed to Amazon delivery. Amazon delivery drivers need to use their thought process some more when making deliveries. This is the second or third time a package has been left right in front of the garage bay doors. You can easily drive over the package while backing out, or a simple gust of wind blows those lighter packages away. What happened to putting the package right by the front door, where there’s at least some cover from the weather and other elements???

The shirt is very comfortable but is a dingy greyish white that looks like it's dirty and has been washed with dark towels. The skirt is super cute but by the time my daughter came home from school the ribbon trim was coming off the tulle. The sash was a nice bonus (too big but easily tied) and the unicorn headband is adorable but needs to be pinned in place. Even with these little compaints, my daughter felt extra special in her Birthday outfit.
