Bought this item to take with me to amusement parks to avoid getting sunburnt. Lovely item, came quickly and was just as cute and dainty as I'd hoped for. seems sturdy and the UV screen will block tons of sunlight! Was worried it would be too small in diameter but it fits me just fine, and would fit someone even taller/bigger no problem. The umbrella closed measures about 11 inches and weighs approx 11.8 oz. Open, the diameter is roughly 34 inches across.~Comes with instructions on how to properly open it ~ I extended the handle a little bit, and when you straighten the umbrella part open you actually straighten each arm until it snaps into place. Once you open it and close it one time, you'll be a pro. Not hard to use.~One thing to note for this particular umbrella, if you're not a fan of glitter don't buy this. The umbrella and carrying case have glitter design on them. I am a HUGE FAN of glitter and love it, but if you're not, maybe pick something with no glitter on it.

I was very disappointed. It really wasn't worth anywhere near what I paid for it. I ordered my parasol in beige, because the photo showed it as more of a cream/off white/ivory. As you can see in my photo resting on white paper, it was a real beige, which is very different from the photo in the ad.The lining is a black plastic, only slightly thicker than a garbage bag, which is what it looked like. There is a black strap to secure it that hangs down below the umbrella. I knew it was black, and was a little concerned about that. But it really cheapened an already cheap product.And, it opens very awkwardly. You have to flip it around, and then manually lock down each of the eight spines before you can fully open it. When closing, you have to unlock each of the eight spines. That's way too awkward and time-consuming. I have never seen an umbrella that's so awkward to open and close.[I believe that the ad photo showed a black handle, but it now shows a wooden handle. It is possible I got it wrong, as the other beige one does have the black handle.]I was very disappointed, and returned it.I had to return several things from Amazon at the same time. One was a gift which the recipient didn't like — a yard tool with a very long handle — which arrived in a long, awkward box. We had to package up the tool in the original box, but Amazon provided a prepaid shipping label. No problem. No fee.The other item was too small. Amazon provided a QR Code for UPS, who boxed it up, and shipped it out. I received my refund the same day. No problem. No fee.With the parasol returning it was easy. Amazon provided a QR Code, which had to be given to UPS. They boxed it up, and shipped it out. I received my refund the same day. I have recently been diagnosed with skin cancer on my face and had surgery. I am not allowed to put sunscreen on the surgical area but have to cover and protect from the sun. I decided to buy this because it is pretty and I already stand out with a scar on my face so why not be unique. The umbrella is very pretty and does cover but is smaller than expected and definitely more fragile. The handle has already come off but was able to be screwed back on. The spires that hold the umbrella open are very thin and the dual folding is not the most user friendly - you must take your time and be slow and methodical about folding and unfolding otherwise it will break or bend incorrectly. Overall, I like my umbrella but if I had known it was so fragile and smaller than really what I need I would have ordered a different one.

I misplaced my favorite parasol and practically tore my house up looking for it. The sun is beating down way too much this early in the summer to be without one. This parasol was pretty and seemed to have good reviews with a bonus of it being foldable. The picture doesn’t do it justice! I ordered the mint green one and was surprised to see it covered in sparkles. Trying to unfold and open it takes some getting used to but it’s lightweight, keeps the sun off and easy to transport in my handbag. I might order one in another color.

This is more suited to girls than women. The flowers are rimmed in glitter, which sheds onto everything. The outer material is a gauzy polyester fabric that offers zero sun protection. There is a square of dark material on the underside of the parasol that offers good sun shade. However, the square shape leaves large sections where there is no sun protection. Why didn’t they line the whole underside of the parasol with sun blocking material?

I like this vintage look umbrella. It has a nice black liner. It's a little hard to fold back up all the way because you have to unsnap a joint on each rib. But, I suppose if you didn't want to fold it all the way down to its smallest size you could just leave it closed like a normal sized umbrella.

After searching all over the internet for a parasol (hard to come by) I settled on this one. Its great at blocking the sun, is small enough to fit in a larger purse or carry without being too cumbersome. Its a little fancier than I would like but its good quality and thats all that really matters when buying something online.

Pretty parasol but I deducted points for the following reasons:-can’t be used in the rain (the exterior is lace)-VERY awkward opening/closure mechanism. It doesn’t open like an ordinary umbrella; you have to pull up each of the spindles individually. Same does for closing. This makes the opening/closing process very inconvenient. I would probably only recommend this umbrella if you plan to open it and leave it open (for example use it only in your backyard, not for traveling, keeping in purse or car, etc).I would not by this brand again and plan to return my item.

I loved it - gave me instant, cooling shade. I took it everywhere on holiday :-)People admired it 🌻
