A young lion prince is born in Africa, thus making his uncle Scar the second in line to the throne. Scar plots with the hyenas to kill King Mufasa and Prince Simba, thus making himself King. The King is killed and Simba is led to believe by Scar that it was his fault and so flees the kingdom in shame. After years of exile he is persuaded to return home to overthrow the usurper and claim the kingdom as his own thus completing the "Circle of Life".

Beautiful picture and sound clarity!
I bought the Blu-Ray of this movie. I saw this movie in the theater when it was released back in the early 1990s. At that time I was spell-bound by the movie.Now I played this Blu-Ray on my Home Theater system and that nostalgia from my childhood was back. Good Heavens! The Picture Clarity and the Sound was AMAZING!If your home theater speakers are placed properly in relation to your listening area and you play this blu-ray, you will experience total bliss when you:1. Hear birds flapping going from one rear speaker to another without a break.2. Fall out of your chair in amazement when you actually FEEL the elephant walking up the screen due to the sub-woofer replicating the low thuds of the biggest animal in the world!3. Be fearful of the stampede scene and will be wondering how come a gazelle is not right beside you!4. Stare at the screen in wonder during Simba and Scar's last fight!And so many more! All this with Crystal Clear clarity of picture, even though it is almost 2 and half decades old and hand drawn! Today's animated movies have nothing on this animation. Disney did one thing right by remastering this movie and improving the picture and audio.A collector's dream and if you have kids they'll be begging you to play this as many times as you can! X-DBlu-ray is WELL WORTH IT! Go for it!

When I received it its packing and all was good but when I opened the pack the cd was ...
I ordered it for my 3.5 years niece as it was available in Hindi. When I received it its packing and all was good but when I opened the pack the cd was full of scratches . I was disappointed to see that as I bought it with so much of love for my niece. When I tried to play it it didnt even play. I feel like a fool for ordering a cd from amazon

Should say nice job!!! Conversion is really good... No pop out effects but the depth is really good.. Since I got this 3d Bluray lesser that that of an ordinary one I decided to buy this..Anyways the sound and picture in 3d is worth watching for 649 :-)

4k Bluray - Ton schlechter als Bluray
Mal wieder ein klassischer Fail bei dem Sound der 4k Bluray . Die Tonqualität wurde von DTSHD ( normalen Blu ray ) einfach mal verschlechtert zu dolby digital Plus. Dafür sind zusätzliche Sprachen wie japanisch vorhanden. Darauf haben wir alle gewartet .Bei einem Film, der von der Musik lebt, geht das gar nicht . Hauptsache die Amerikaner bekommen dolby atmos ....

The best lion king film ever made nothing compared to the original my favourite characters the three adult male lions Mufasa Scar and Simba used to borrow the video tape off one of my brother's mates when I was a child had the DVD for Christmas 2003 but years later my brother and his partner borrow it they moved house probably lost it forever my dad ordered replacement for me no longer got the case although was better than most standard DVD cases keep the two discs in my DVD storage containers boxes

NOT THE UK VERSION!!!!!!
BE AWARE!!! I received this as a present with other blu-rays. However I was disappointed to open the present to a Middle East version of the film. I thought that it was going to be the UK diamond edition, with the spine number, thick case etc. This version came with a DVD also, however i thought that I would get the UK version. This may seem petty but now i am annoyed because it does not fit in with the rest of the Blu-rays. Keep in mind while buying.I feel that I should be able to exchange the item which I received, for a UK diamond edition. However I now no way of doing this, I only know that I can exchange it for an item of the same price.Hopefully amazon have changed their seller to a more trust worthy one, so you will probably not have this same trouble that I experienced.Great film though.
