Growing up as a 90's kid, i never got around to reading these amazing novels which were rather popular among my friends and classmates because i wasn't much of a reader back then. In fact, books repelled me altogether. However it's never too late to read and no literature is small and i have come to understand that you mustn't be ashamed to read any literature even those that are typically aimed for younger minds. I'm 25 years old now and decided to pick this one up which will serve as my first entry into the goosebumps saga. I'm so glad i did. The story is gripping with each chapter ending in some sort of a cliff hanger. I was so taken back with the plot that i had to take breaks every now and then and just let it all in and ponder. I also learned that this book was released in the year 1992, just 1 year before i was born! I'm not going to get into details as i don't want to spoil it for you. All I'm saying is you should definitely give this a read. I will be picking up "ghost next door" and a couple other goosebumps books next.I'd give this book 10 stars if i could.My only complain is that, while the printing itself is fine and the letters are clear and very much readable, the outer binding could've been better for the paperback version. It feels cheap and flimsy. I have had books for far cheaper that had better binding and good quality cover art. (Get a grip, scholastic. You have a huge reputation for crying out loud) But don't let my rant discourage you from buying this classic masterpiece. This book is amazing and so is it's author R L stine. My only regret is not reading these books as a child when most kids my age did. I feel slightly left out and late.

Must read for a goosebump fan

I like the way the horror things and all the twists R. L stine written. It is a very good book for kids.

I used to read the goosebumps series as a kid. They didn’t scare me then and they don’t scare me now. But something about the light, easy-read horror is comforting and nostalgic enough for me to want to read it today.If you didn’t grow up reading books, this is good way to catch up to the rest!
