Kurt Adler UL3131 10-Light 6 Pt. Capiz Star Treetop

So we went with a skinny pencil tree. When I first ordered this star I was still looking for the perfect one for the top of the tree while I was waiting for its arrival. I thought it would be too big. Little did I know that I had already found the perfect star. Size was perfect and quality was great. I will agree with others that state you have to get creative to keep it from falling over. Here’s what I did that worked better than I would have imagined. Went to Lowes and bought a baluster in the stair department. They are tapered which gives you a variety of sizes that will work for you. I then went to the garden section and bought the smallest tomato stake they had. They are green and match the tree perfectly. Drill a hole in the bottom of the piece of baluster you cut the same dimension of the tomato stake. Zip tie the tomato stake to the trunk of the tree sticking up however high you want. Then you all set for the star on top. Fine tune as needed. The final touch was also at lowes. In the holiday section they had single strands of garland ties I wrapped around everything to make it blend. You can’t even tell.

The media could not be loaded. Our tree is rather large. But this dainty little star was so perfect to me. It is pretty small in size. So depending on how large your tree is you may want something bigger. I didn’t want much to take away from the rest of the tree. So I felt the star was absolutely perfect. In size. Shape. Quality. The fact it lights up. The details of the design. I love all of it. And with the tree off it still lights up the whole living room I like how bright it is. It’s also light in weight so it’s not hard to put up!

I don’t know how to feel about this star. It’s pretty. But the base isn’t large enough to fit around the top branch of this tree. If I try to force it, it’s too heavy and just falls over. So I have it propped up there. It looks OK, but it keeps falling. I would send it back, but there’s no way it’s going back into the box the way it came out. Update: It’s finally sitting where it doesn’t fall. The star is beautiful, so I’m going to try to find a way to secure it.

I had high hopes for this star and it didn't disappoint. At first, you'll think it's too small, but the scale is perfect for a 7 foot tree or smaller. I would even put this on a little 4 foot tree. It's the perfect medium size. The star itself is gorgeous. It has enough lights to illuminate the entire star. In the spirit of full disclosure; I couldn't get the sprialized wire stem to work to hold the star securely to the straight, top branch of the tree, so I found my husband's wire cutters and just nipped it right off at the star. Then I used a long, coated secure tie around 2 of the star-legs and then around the top branch of the tree. This held the star in place MUCH more securely than the original stem. Glad I got this little guy for Christmas this year.

The tree topper was very well-made and beautiful but I was looking for something that was mauve, a light pink, or a rose in color like the picture showed. And it had no color at all

This topper is cuter than a bugs ear but I had trouble getting it to sit straight on my tree. I don’t know if that’s an issue with the sturdiness of this topper or just the top branch part on the top of my tree not being sturdy enough. Whichever it is, it’s still cute!Update: it was a tree issue. I resolved it and it sits just fine now!

First this is NOT as pictured. there is maybe a hint of rose gold most looks clear. it is cheap plastic, packaged poorly but the worst part if IT IS ONE SIDED and the back is horribly ugly. I cannot use this because i have my tree the window. This is sooooo disappointing. IMHO a tree topper is something you keep year after year. For $35 I expected something of some quality. This is thin cheap plastic with a horrible white plastic disk on the back. You can only use this if your tree is in a corner because it doesn't look good from the side either., DONT BUY THIS CHEAP JUNK!!

It's beautiful elevates your tree

Beautiful light but not compatible with uk plug sockets or voltage. Have to use an adapter and then light is so bright it is just a blur. Do not turn mine on but it still looks nice in the top of the tree.

The item received is 120v. The UK is 240v. A stepdown transformer is required. The voltage is not stated on the item description page. A quality transformer is approximately £15 plus. Very disappointed.
