Where and how you seed is important.
Like any living thing, where and how you handle the seed is important. I tried 2 batches of this seed (the first batch I did not read the planting instructions, and the second batch I did.) Most of the seeds originally came up with both batches. My first batch of seeds I tossed on the ground, watered it a couple days, saw the seedlings emerge from the ground, and promptly forgot about them. Result = dead seedlings everywhere. One day of hot sun killed them. (Temps in my climate are in the 90's - 100's.)The second batch I threw on the ground as before, covered them with a thin layer of soil/sand, and watered regularly until the seedlings looked healthy enough not to require daily care. I continued to monitor their looks (were they wilting) and watered only when needed until they were firmly established. (The ones that are a bit shaded for part of the day are doing the best. )

good quality seeds
This was a great quality of seeds. As long as the weather is warm out and you keep them moist, they will sprout within days. I've bought others that took weeks to see any growth. I highly recommend these.

Doesn't sprout
After a month there's still no sign of sprouting. What a waste of time and money.

Not sure yet. Seeds came coated in something blue.
I placed a couple teaspoons in water to see if there was a seed somewhere in all the blue, as there was no instructions with them. left over night and the water was blue in am. I did see the seeds then . dipped out the seeds and they are now sitting in potting soil. If they grow and if they are green, I will update this review. For now, not sure...

definitely works, just waiting to see if it fills in
I needed ground cover for my entire dirt side yard that required no mowing. Lush dense greenery so that we wouldn’t get dirt and mud tracking everywhere anymore.stumbled upon this plant type. I’m located in san diego and was hoping to find something that would stay alive year round. I busted my butt prepping my side yard by weed killing for weeks, watering and softening the dirt everyday, hand tilling, and then adding soils. My parents have landscaping and plant backgrounds, so I made sure to plant correctly. I first used seeds from home depot which produced nothing aside from a few grass blades. I then tried this which had sprouts within a few days. But it’s patchy. Some areas have a small dense patch while a lot of other areas are completely bare. After that, I ordered more seed to go over the bare areas again, so far nothing. But will update in a few weeks if that changes. I made sure to place the seeds so that they would not wash into other areas while being watered. These are definitely better than home depot but am still awaiting results for patchiness.

Good cover
I planted this in an area prone to erosion. It sprouted in less than a week, and has remained green during the winter. I live in an area prone to drought and excessive heat, so I’m hoping this will be a good alternative to grass.

SEEDS REQUIRE PATIENCE
I received the seeds MAR 6 I had bare spots in Shady spots, from an invasion of Army Worms & Grub Worms last year. I raked the dirt, planted seeds in rows & covered. I also spread seeds on top. Then I covered with a thin layer of Peat Moss. I watered 2X day for 2 WEEKS. Then once a day. WEEK 3 a few sprouts came up that looked like Grass. I then watered once a day for another week. & Then every few days. The sprigs started looking like 2 flat leaves [very small] I almost wrote a negative review. WEEK 4. Normal watering & mowing. WEEK FIVE The leaves have flattened and are now Half Moons. They are still very small. The cover is excellent.

Perfect!
Tired of mowing. Rural property 6 acres- getting old. Grows 4-6” tall- fills in great- spreads relatively fast. Mixed mine with miniclover . Love it! Very satisfied. Filled empty spice jar with shaker top: half cinnamon -half seed and spread through existing grass/weeds. Voilà! A little pricey- will take years to cover the backyard only… we’ll see how it weathers this winter.
