USMLE Step 3 White Coat Pocket Guide

This is really helping me during the start of my Internal Medicine residency. I have been studying from it frequently to catch up my knowledge for my upcoming Step 3 Exam. It is always relevant to the hospital and ED, I have been very impressed with the book! It really does fit in your white coat pocket without having tiny, unreadable font.

Lets face it no one book has it all, but this book is one of the most comprehensive, short and to the point review books out there. Its a great on the go book for a quick reference during rotations or as a supplementary book to other study materials. I used it along with a Q bank and other books and had no problem on the real test. I recommend it.

it is very difficult to study during residency. I've gone through many books and finally settled on this. I studied for Step 3 by using this book and UWORLD and annotating notes on a paper.

I highly recommend this book, its not perfect but its a great place to check things and sometimes it really tells you what you need to know.

I was not sure about getting this item at first as I am preparing for step 2 and not step 3, so had canceled the item but I am EXTREMELY glad that the seller still mailed it out, as its EXTREMELY beneficial for step 2 as well, better than Master The Boards as MTB misses points that are covered in White Coat. Its gives a very thorough recap of Kaplan lecture notes and highlights all the relevant tested material BRIEFLY. Good Luck!!!

The book is good but it is very far from being enough for Step 3 preparation! be aware!

I have no problems with this book but ultimately I found it less convenient to read when compared to the larger Kaplan book. I thought I would need a pocketsized book for portability, to just open during down time and get some quick reading. Really I found it more plausible to just sit down and read the in depth full size Kaplan book and work with online MCQ banks. Nothing wrong with this book, and everyone has their preferences. I passed the exam easily. Good luck!

Exactly what it was described as. Easy to stop and read a few things in down time. Clear and concise, very short and to the point, basic information.
