Due to reviews....I ordered a size up for my 5 year old daughter. She has just started wearing a size 10, we ordered an 11M. Sizing up was Not the right decision. The width was fine- she has a pretty typical "medium" width foot now that she is older & these were fine in that regard, if not a little loose. However, they were Definitely at least a sz too large for her. Much too long.My advice: order their current size OR order a couple pairs in different sizes if you are concerned & return what doesn't workAs a former dancer (& a daughter of such as well), I do know how these should fit her feet.If she were older, she should not have extra space in the shoe. Since she is still growing, a little space is okay, if not preferred.However, it's obvious that ordering a size up in these leaves them much too long & will cause her to trip, etc.I should have followed Capezio's own sizing guidelines, rather than the reviews here, as they list these as being true to size. They are correct in our experience.Ordering her current street shoe size will still leave a bit of room at the end of the toes for growth, but will not be so long they are hazardous.The quality of these ballet slippers is excellent. Granted, I've always been a bit partial to Capezio.. This Daisy style is a little less flat than the classic Teknik's, if you are familiar with those. I think this Daisy style is excellent for little girls like mine whose feet are a little thicker up and down (if that makes since- not width, but actual thickness) than some. I may even order a pair for myself.The pink is classic & beautiful. The lining is cute & feels comfortable. The name tag inside is a great touch, though I am a little concerned as to whether or not they will cause a little irritation upon dancing. I will update if they Do. The edging does not rub her heel/ankle when cinched. The full sole is just as expected and nice. The leather is soft but durable & not too thin nor too thick.These really are quite lovely!These are a great buy & I do not forsee any problems with these in her correct size.However, Do order in their current street shoe size first...

My twins wear normal shoe sizes 6.5 & 7. I sized up & bought the dance shoe in 8M, for both girls. When they arrived in the packaging, before I unfolded, they looked TINY. My husband said "No way! That's not going to fit!" However, once I unfolded them, they were GREAT! The straps keep them on the girls' feet but not too tight that they leave marks. They're actually a little large, which leaves room to grow into. The sides are a bit odd. Idk if it's b/c my girls needed size "wide" as they're a little thick for their height at this point, or if it's b/c the shoe is still a little larger size than they wear. Either way, they were bought to wear around the house, in their Christmas dresses & for dress-up. They love them & look adorable. Delivery was fast & it's a quality product overall which I'd recommend. Price was right. Side note: they have a pair of size 8M pink ballet shoes from the Payless brand, & in comparison, the Payless runs smaller than these.

My daughter is joining dance this year and I remember from growing up that Capezio was a good dance brand. But we’re not committed enough to dance for me to spend the top dollar price tag that sometimes comes with dance classes. So I first looked at target for ballet shoes but theirs weren’t the quality I was looking for. Since I was on a time crunch, I decided to check out Amazon and found capezio ballet shoes for a killer price! These are perfect. Only thing I can warn a person of is these seem to run small. I ordered a whole size bigger than usual and those were still too small. I’m exchanging them for the second size up. We’ll see! But overall, the quality and the price point are perfect.**UPDATE** 2 sizes up were a perfect fit! And this price point is an absolute steal! These same slippers/shoes were for sale in the studio for $28!! I’d call this a win. Don’t hesitate to hit that ‘buy now’ button!

True to size but the pink color was dirty looking. I tried cleaning with cloth but didn’t help. Other than that the shoes were pretty good.

The flexibility and comfort of these shoes are great for my young dancer. The leather is durable and lasts for a long time (as long as her foot doesn’t grow too fast). Great shoe, great performance.

We love this brand of shoes. They last and look great for the whole dance season or until the dancer grows out of them! Very comfortable and a great price!

So happy to see that Capezio still knows how to make ballet slippers! Available in wide widths, which fit my granddaughter perfectly, and made of soft, real leather. Also, a reasonable price! Can’t ask for anything more. We’ll be ordering more as she grows. Thank you, Capezio!

My daughter still fits in size 9 toddler shoes. I ordered a 10 in these and she could barely get them on. She said they were tight and short. If they were the right size, they looked high quality.

These are the cutest ever!!! My toddler was a flower girl and they were perfect. They do fit very snug but I’m sure they would stretch with continuous use. Capezieo is always great quality

Always need to buy a size bigger with ballet shoes. Love these because they come in a narrow fit option and the tie/string is elastic so really easy to get on and off. Highly recommend.

Good shoes, unfortunately the size ended up being a bit small and that was a measurement error on my part so didn't get a lot of use out of them. Still a good shoe.

Speedy delivery and nice little shoe with sturdy elastic but I ordered a size 9 , received a size 8.5 and this came up far too small. The return process was very easy but as the sizings are so far out I am going to have to buy my granddaughter's ballet shoes from somewhere where she can try them on.
