I was set to return mine, but we were able to finally figure them out after the 3rd attempt. The directions truly are worthless.I have a 2014 jeep grand Cherokee with the attach rails. To properly install these you will need to use the key and unlock them and take off the end piece. Next, lift the rubber top flap, unscrew the screws just enough but not so much as the nut comes out. Now you can angle them to pop the one side up under the track, then you can pop the other side one. Tighten up the screws with the allen wrench, place the rubber top back over the screws, then put the end cap back on and lock them. You should be good now.Note: They do not indicate the front from the back.I do notice a slight whistle, but nothing that isn't tolerable. Hope this helps others that purchase these.

This product was a pain in the ass to install. Like everyone else noted, the instructions are complete garbage. We had to YouTube a video on a similar product to figure it out. The bar's whistle like crazy while you are driving and I can't open my sunroof because the noise and the airflow is so much louder.Overall, not happy.

The rubber stips on top of bars are difficult to get back in place after they are removed for access to the screws that hold it to the track.

The instructions are not at all useful...we had to view several YouTube videos of people who learned how to put them on without the instructions. But they are very sturdy.

They fit, and they're fabulous!Here are step-by-step installation instructions:1. Use the keys to remove the 4 locks.2. Stand the bars side by side: The longer ones go in front. Use a sticker to mark them.3. Slide or peel the plastic cover about 10" on each side of the roof rack to expose the bolts.4. Loosen all bolts almost to the end. Careful not to remove them completely.5. Put the bars on top of your car: see the pictures which way they're supposed to line up.6. Start with one corner: Pull the metal plate down from underneath the plastic mounting feet bracket. The plate will only come out about 1cm.7. Slide/sandwich the metal plate - on the side closest to you - into the inside track of the roof track. The track will be sandwiched by the plate and mounting bracket.8. Once the metal plate is secure to the inside track (try to yank it up gently, it should not move up), repeat on remaining corners.9. Tighten all 8 bolds10. On each corner, pull the plastic cover as much as you originally peeled it, and slide it back into the track - no need to push it back into the cover track manually.11. Put the locks back on.Enjoy!

So, it was the best value of several similar ones on AZ. The instructions are poor, but it took only a few minutes to figure out how it goes, so no problem during the install.The rubber strip profile does not match the aluminum extrusion profile it sits on, leaving a gap along the edge. My guess is this gap is why it whistles. One the weather warms up I will try some 3M automotive tape underneath to hold the rubber down to see if that helps.Since I want to be able to remove them for periods when I don’t need them, I will cut about 4 inches off each end of the rubber strip and only tape down the middle portion which never needs to be removed, leaving the end sections free to come off. My feeling is the short length won’t whistle, but we shall see.

Got this for my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to hold a Yakima ski box.Went on reasonably well, but I enlisted a second pair of hands and they were needed. Took less than an hour.Sturdy after one years use, still going strong. I wouldn't put it on and take off seasonally - I don't think I trust the fitments enough. Even my Yakima and Thule stuff struggles with that.Note: makes a crazy whistling noise with no box on top. Definitely will need to add a fairing this season. Quite a racket without it. A good purchase.

Product was as advertised. The instructions were useless, but as many others said watch a YouTube video and it is easy to install. Just remember the shorter one goes to the back. Loosen the bolt to the end but not all the way out and it is way easier. Also don’t pull the rubber up but open both cap locks and slide it back and forth as putting it back down is a pain in the butt. Took me about 25 minutes to install both.

Bought them when the price dipped down to about 120 CAD for the set and who could complain at that price for new roof racks! They're sturdy, work as intended, and installing was quite simple having read a comment here detailing step by step. Definitely recommend!
