Ader Pro-Grade International Kettlebell- (16kg)

This is the sergeant in my Salvation Army of kettlebells. The top of the handle is about 11 inches high and the diameter of the spherical portion is about 8 inches. All Ader Pro-Grade kettlebells have the same linear dimensions. Only the colors and weights change. This adds a nice consistency to kettklebell exercise. This has a nice smooth handle and its bright yellow sphere begs for a smiley face, but I am content to swing and lift it. Read my review of the Ader 32kg red kettlebell about a problem I had with the finish on that kettlebell. So far there has been no problem at all with the yellow finish. I am new to kettlebells and have found that grip is important. For any exercise with a kettlebell, movement of the surface of the handle across the skin can cause blisters or callouses. A rough handle would present more of a problem than a smooth one it would seem. The Ader Pro-Grade handles are pretty smooth. The kettlebell swing is a fundamental exercise. Tracy Reifkind in her book THE SWING recommends cutoff socks on the hands for even greater protection against blisters. I have found that cheap fabric gloves with the fingers cut off are equivalent.I also like the fact that the central portion of the handle is straight and not an arc like many kettlebell handles. In addition to kettlebell exercises I also use my kettelbells for what would be considered dumbbell exercises such as biceps curls . The straight handle more closely resembles the straight handle of a dumbbell. Overall, I am very pleased with my Ader Pro-Grade kettlebells.

If you are thinking about getting a kettle bell and you know you will be into that type of training save yourself money and get this. I have several kettle bells and the Ader are the best by far. If you buy something else you will only end up getting one of these anyway.The main thing is that when you buy heavier ones they are the same size and shape. Meaning your form is the same. If you buy something else then they get bigger as they are heavier.I still use my other kettle bells but I love these. They also have the right balance and feel great in the hand.Hope this helps.Matt

Love my Ader pro's ! I have an 8kg pair (pink) and a 12kg pair (blue) I recently bought my 16kg (yellow)single pro kettlebell, as I am building up strength fast. I'll be ordering another 16kg to have the pair. These 16kg are killer for front squats,renegade rows and double swings. These Ader pro kettlebells are the best investment in sports equipment I've ever made. They are all I need for my home workouts. Great quality too!

Durable, easy to store, and great to work out with! This is a great starter kettle bell for most men.

I really like my Ader Prograde bells, but this bell seems to have something loose so everytime I complete a rep it rattles ... kind of annoying after the 100th time ...
