Franklin's Thanksgiving

My students (2nd grade) loved this book, and so did my family. Cute story!

Franklin is surprised when his grandparents send a postcard to say that they will be missing Thanksgiving with the family. Franklin decides to invite his teacher and a friend to Thanksgiving. It is a great story and I am going to have a blast reading it with my nieces and nephews we all love a good story.

The inclusiveness of this tale is its greatest asset. The illustrations are lovely and the story is sweet but the idea of all being welcome is the reason children should read this book. I was delighted with it.

Beautiful written story encouraging and embracing family, friends, traditions and giving. Franklin and his family open up there home to all their neighbors and friends and share a wonderful Thanksgiving feast.

Franklin is every young child’s friend. They can instantly connect with the young turtle’s sense of adventure and enjoy watching him work through familiar problems and solve them in his own way. All of them have been authored by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark. They obviously made a wonderful team, since they have sold over 60 millions copies in over 30 languages. The stories are engaging and the pictures delightful. I love these books!!!

We love Franklin and can understand that he was upset that his Grandparents could not come for Thanksgiving. But everyone inviting several others will out anyone knowing about it was wonderful.

Easy read, it's cute how everyone in Franklin's family ends up inviting different neighbors to their Thanksgiving celebration. Don't read too much into the grandparents not showing up, kids will love this book nonetheless.

This was a cute story, and the Franklin series is really good. The only reason I gave it four out of five stars is I got the Kindle version and the pictures were small, making it harder for the kids to see and enjoy. It would have been nice if it had been formatted for Kindle differently. Other than that, great story!

This is a great book for the family. The holiday story is very sweet and the illustrations are beautiful.
