Best thing on the small screen!
I first found this series just cruising on the internet. The early versions had no English subtitles, but I was able to understand much of what was happening from having read some of the Shiva Puranas and Devdutt Pattanaik's books. I was disappointed when I got the Season 1 set because the translation was a little funky, the episodes were abridged, and it was very hard to navigate. However, I was happy to have the set rather than nothing at all. I got Season 2, and it was better. Season 3 seems to have the complete episodes, however, you will miss scenes if you just go by the Chapter titles. You have to Play All to see everything.I was very eager to see this Season because the Jalandhar episodes were quite extraordinary. Mohit Raina's triple role acting was something to watch, and I was eager to get a translation of the dialogue. I am not disappointed. The English translation is still a bit off, but experienced yoga students will be able to hear the Hindi dialogue and figure many things out on your own. Devdutt and the writers went all out on this episode in particular to convey the teachings of yoga in a relevant and inspiring way.As for the production values of the series - the actors are excellent, and the costumes, sets, makeup, lighting, music and special effects enable you to become completely transported to Shivaloka. Some of the scenes are quite beautiful and devotional. Sometimes when I get absorbed in the episodes, I forget that I am not actually watching Lord Shiva. If you love yoga, Indian mythology and the Puranic stories, I'm sure you will enjoy this series.

Reviewing DVD set or the series performance?
Some people wrote on the quality of DVD discs and others on the content i.e., the serial's performance like acting and the story. Disclaimer: one should not be judgmental about somebody's devotion to the lord Shiva in real life, based on good or bad review on the DVDs or performance.I have 3 components of the review:1. Cost: I understand I will pay more if I am getting it sitting in USA than in India. But if it is 5 to 6 times more, it is questionable. But I let it be in the name of Lord Shiva. But going by the teachings of Lord Shiva himself, one should not take over advantage of people's sentiments.2. Some discs were jamming, or sort of getting stuck at a point. A disc may not work properly with one VCR/DVD player but relatively better with the other. Why?While playing the discs you see initial copyright etc. remarks, it states for USE FOR VIEWING IN INDIA, NEPAL AND BHUTAN. If that is true, why are you NOT sending DVDs compatible for US buyer, you know from the order where it is going. In some discs the content was missing in the continuity, meaning what you expect to view next is not there, like some chapters missing. On the other hand, some chapters are repeated in the subsequent series.3.I have comments on the flow of the story which I will detail later on, but in short it varies from excellent to average comparing between 1st 309 episode and this set which I bought. Excellent is for the 1st 309 episodes.Overall, more praise than otherwise. Jai Mahadev.

Very slow paced
The product is nice; better than the first set, where some CDs didn’t play at all. These CDs are clean, load well and play well.I hate the way the movie is made. It’s recorded at a slower pace. Like they want make the movie longer. For example when some character is eating food the hand moves very slowly from the plate to the mouth. Very annoying. I fall off to sleep sometimes. But the story is very nice. Very educational. Good things to learn about self realization. If you have all the time and patience in the world you’ll like it.
