I’m a retired exercise physiology professor and have owned the original Cybex Arc for 19 years. I use it at least 5 days a week for interval training and over distance. I’m a masters level discus thrower (72 years old) and weigh 270 lb, so I put the machine to the test at high power outputs. I’ve never had any trouble with the Cybex. I enjoy the motion compared to elliptical machines. For intervals, I use a high knee lift (5) at a medium setting and sprint a series of 6-8 20 second intervals with two minutes of slow exercise between intervals . I combine this with high rep kettlebell swings and thrusters and a 45 minute walk or electric bike ride. Cybex intervals provide a short, intense workout that provides rapid results. I’m ready for ski season!I’m purchasing another Cybex for my summer cabin to replace an elliptical machine. This is a terrific, good quality machine that I highly recommend. I bought my Cybex in 2002.

Easy to use, simple mechanism makes it likely tyo last forever.( Ive had mine for 8 years without a problem). At 60 years old it gives me the best cardio workout

I used this equipment for the first time last week. It had very low impact on my knees which is very important because of the recent knee injury; it burned more calories than the elliptical; gets the heart rate up within the very first few minutes. It definitely is a wonderful cardio machine.

Cardio can feel like a chore during competition, those two hour days! This machine makes me look forward to getting the cardio and strength training I need - it hits all the right spots for legs. Love the Personal Fan! And the grips just give you great support and form to get you past your comfort zone. Highly recommend this to any gym - you will thank me later, but be sure they purchase a few of them - nothing I hate more than waiting in line for my cardio machine - if you are looking for that one piece of cardio equipment for a home gym and you spend time running, stair climbing and biking - this is the one for you! It provides the speed of running, the incline for climbing and the resistance for biking - gotta love it!!!
