Q: İs a 1.5 HP pump too big for this filter?

I have 1.5 HP pump. I did have to replace a hose, but it has worked just fine and the filter has done a good job. Hopefully this helps.

Q: Where can I find a replacement drainage cap?

Sorry, I can't answer that. I do know the one I bought is a piece of junk. Just had it for a couple of weeks. Been more trouble than I have had with any of the pool fixtures. The handle on top will not turn to anything except filter. So I can't backwash or waste. I notified Amazon and get I no answer.

Q: does this come with the pump or just the filter?

Just the tub and valve. No pump and no sand.

Q: Can you purchase drain plug for bottom of the sand filter
