XFMT 6"x 9" Motorcycle Saddlebag Lid W/Speakers Compatible with Harley Electra Street Road Glide FL 1994-2013

I ran into the same issues as mentioned in many of the posts, so was not surprised. The fit and finish of the lids were excellent! The weather stripping was nice but since it didn’t have double sided tape on it, went to the local hardware stop and picked up some weather stripping with double sided tape on it. Also picked up some slightly longer hinge screws, since ones from the stock Harley lid were a tad too short for the new lids. At first I used the provided straps attaching the lids to the bags without cutting them to the proper length and just used zip ties to take up the slack as shown in the pic, but since have cut them to length and made new holes for the screws to go through using an eyelet installation tool. The Polk 6x9’s fit perfectly. I would have preferred to have enough space to drop them in from the top of the lids, but worked fine to mount them from the bottom.

Bought these lids as reviews were pretty good. Installed on a 2010 streetglideThe box they were sent in was good and the inside packaging was excellent. Lids came with rubber weatherstrip and new straps as the old ones won’t work anymore.The good:Paint was excellent on the outside of the lid. Inside is just flat black plastic. I’m thinking about painting it to match. Comes with the weatherstrip for each lid and more than enough straps to replace the old ones. You retain all lid brackets and latches. Easy to install, but you will need to go buy new 6/32 screws as the old ones will be too short.The bad:The rubber strip is not installed (I have no idea why it’s not.) Buy a good glue like Gorilla glue to attach the rubber. Let it sit overnight before install so it sets good.Haven’t installed any speakers yet as I’m buying parts one at a time for expense reasons, so.... it will be a while :).5 stars overall but 3 in the easy to install because the seal is a pain.Update: paint is peeling along the top edges of the lid. One lid is fine, the other is not. Only way to fix it would be to repaint the whole lid. Also, the strap attachment to the underside of the lid broke off causing me to mount the strap to the speaker housing to insure it holds. Also, no matter how much glue I use, the weatherstrip on this same lid keeps coming off. Just some FYI for all of you. Changing my review to 3 stars.Update 6-18-22. Dumped bike. Needed new lids. 68 bucks later, new pair of same lids. Finish was good on both so far, everything went together easy. Just glued on weatherstrip so will install tomorrow. I purchased these again because they were available and was shipped in 3 days, price was where I needed it to be, and install would be easier now that I know what I’m doing. :)

Finish was hazey. Definitely not close to vivid or gloss black

Hole for 6x9 is a little small. Had to modify the 6x9 to fit. No material was sent either to adhere the seals to the lid lip.

Great Lids for the money $$.Have had them on the bike for a little over a year now, no issues at all. Had them painted to match the bike, fit perfect, look great. The gaskets that come with them are a little thicker but will flatten over a few weeks. I have a set of Ds18 6x9's mounted on them and they work perfect. Great addition to the sound system. Definitely would recommend them.

Everything was great for the price only thing could’ve been better was if it had came with adhesive for the weather strips other then that I give %100

Item arrived on time and is as described paint looks flawless. Just need to switch hard ware from original lids

These are awesome! They fit perfectly and holds my 6x9 without any issues.
