Dirty Finger Prints
I ordered this book as a gift and it had oily black fingerprints all over the front and the back. I didn't have time to wait for a new book so I did my best to remove the marks myself. I was able to make it look better but nowhere near perfect. I had to explain that the book came that way new and it wasn't used. Embarrassing!

All About Families!
This book is absolutely wonderful. Since my husband & I are in the process of adopting, I’ve been looking for books about inclusivity & all the different types of families. If you happen to be looking for similar books, definitely get this one & you won’t be disappointed.

Super diverse!
I saw this book in a friends house and loved how inclusive it was so I had to get my own. They show representations of so many different kinds of families that it’s a great launching point for conversations with kids.I love that they have single parent families, adult families with no kids, adults with only pets are families, grandparents with kids are families, parents with disabilities, parents with tattoos, all kinds of queer families, all kinds of religious families, blended families, honestly they think of a lot and provide equal representation for them.It has very informative pages on what does adoption mean, what does blended families mean, some kids are in foster families and what does that mean. Why some families move a lot (refugees) why some families stay put. It’s so great!

An informative and educational book about families
I first heard of this book when I saw it in an online video on the Life with Beans (an Australian family of 8) YouTube channel and I was intrigued by it, especially if I grew up reading Usborne children’s books. This book has colourful illustrations throughout and I especially like how it says that families come in all shapes and sizes as well as what different kinds of families there are. While I come from a family of five (consisting of me, my mum, my dad, my brother and my sister), one of my friends has three biological siblings and at least one half sibling and a half niece while another friend is a foster carer. The book also gave me the new term of a kinship care family where children are brought up by older siblings, uncles, aunts or grandparents. I also like how the book shows where families can live (I live in a flat while my parents and siblings live in houses) and has a glossary of family words at the end. The only complaint I have about this book is that the family tree can be complicated for people of all ages to understand, but it was still interesting to see how the people in the family are related.Overall in spite of the complication of the family tree, this is a vibrantly illustrated, educational and informative book about family diversity. 4/5.
