My daughter was looking for low rise shorts, these are not low rise or they are not low enough rise. I would call them mid rise as they came just under my daughters belly button.

These are not low rise shorts. Still go up to your belly button. For the price I'm disappointed

It is definitely not lowrise...maybe a mid rise if you are 5"7 and taller. I am 411 160 lbs..I wear a medium. If I fold them at the waist they become low waist and fit me better. Also I have straight hips...if there was any curve there lol Id still fit a medium. Sad I have to return them but life's too short to wear a waistline that when you move grabs one side of your ribs. I am aware my torso seems short but that's bc I AM SHORT lol real low rise fits me better like a mid rise. Ultra low rise doesn't require me to shave like my taller girlies. Also if it helps I'm not Asian short(slim petite) I'm more 'American' short...tank petite lol I have a waist but it hides real good in tall ppl clothes... The length was awesome! Wasn't trying to get up in my business or show my booty cheeks (a once upon a time pregnancy gave a little almost booty lol) overall if the rise isn't super important it fits well could understand why ppl say size down but I'm not into body hugging for daily wear lol

While these look well made, they are not “low rise” as advertised. These shorts are mid rise at best, but lean the side of high rise.
