Modkat Liner Type G (3-Pack) – Compatible with Modkat Litter Tray

I needed a narrower litter box with high sides and a one piece unit so there would be no leakage. I was hesitant about the price, but it is definitely worth it! I love the clip on shield instead of Velcro. Easy to clean. Highly recommend!

I have a female cat that is always peeing over the side, box keeps her from doing that!! This box will keep me from having to take the cat box enclosure outside to wash it. I also love how the box liner that’s included fits inside the box - goodbye cheap plastic liners!!! This box will keep your cat from slinging litter over the sides. It also came with a toy ball & a sturdy cat scoop. Easy to put together.I now have 2 Modkat Litter boxes (one for inside & patio). Plus 1 Modkat flip litter box for RV. Best cat box with liner I have ever owned.

THE BAD: So, the surrounding flaps fall off easily making the box hard to move. The scoop is too big and lots of little pieces of waste fall though, I have to buy one with smaller holes. The front lip that prevents litter tracking also falls off easily and it NOT effective. THE GOOD: it is large enough for 2 cats. I love that it is deep and holds a lot of litter, kitties can really bury their waste deep, which they prefer The bottom part is sturdy. I love the liner - sturdy and will certainly help stave off a smelly box. I think it is easy to improve this - and I hope if they do they will send me an improved version. Oh, the toy is a joke. For the price, include a decent toy!

I discovered I have a high pee-er when I happened to be near her litter box and watched her pee. (Swear to God standing on her tippy toes wth?!?!). I watched the pee hit the fridge, run down the side, onto the floor and then under the box. No idea how long this was going on but oy!I had originally tried this Dexter setup with liners taped to 2 walls around the box with the ends sitting in the litter to drain into and that was a hot mess to scoop out. Anyway, did some research and found out high peeing is a thing so in the article I read it mentioned this litter box and I figured I didn't have anything to lose being that I currently had a permanently active crime scene in my house.Absolutely no regrets!Unlike some of the other reviewers, I did not experience issues with the liner and guard not fitting and I didn't struggle to assemble it - in fact, I found it to be amazingly engineered. Some of the components even came in an additional box that had holes scored in it that you can punch out and put a provided ping pong ball in for a toy!So anyway, I've had this for months and what I really love is that when there's pee on the liner, it's super easy to disengage it in one clump because the liner is very slippery.Also super important is that the guard is one piece and drains INTO the litter box and there are zero gaps. A bit pricey, but so well worth it not having the pain and personal anguish of my previous situation!

I have a now 17 and 18 year old pair of kitties at home that both have arthritis. They sometimes have a hard time crouching to go to the bathroom so they can have accidents over the side of regular boxes. The high walls make it mess-free now. I love that it is large enough for even my big boy to completely comfortably turn around and face any way he wants while going. The shield gives him some privacy as well. I am not a fan of covered boxes and neither are my cats but this is the best of both worlds for sure. I like the ergonomic design of how everything clips together and not having to scrape gross calcified litter out of the bottom of the pan anymore — once it gets bad I just throw out the liner. Overall best litterbox and the only one I'll use now, I gave away my Litter Robot and got a second Modkat.

Cute idea, recycling the box as a cat toy with the included ping pong ball.The box is off to a great start. Setup is slightly difficult because of the clips, but once they're in, they seem solid. My only issue is the shield was bent a certain way in the delivery box, and the bends do not align with the corners of the box, so it looks a bit...sloppy. I may try using a heat gun to fix the bend locations.Otherwise it seems very solid. I am excited to have such a sturdy box with such sturdy liners. It is a welcome change from the cheap flexible plastic bins I get from the store which end up cracking after a few years from the weight of repeated litter changes. Hopefully it will stand up to the abuse, thanks to the replaceable liners.I will update my review in a month or two once I have more experience with it.Update: six months in (February 2019), I am still impressed with this litter box design. It remains sturdy, though I am concerned that the four little corner clips which hold the liner in-place will eventually wear out and break from the repeated re-un-re-un-hooking cycle involved in dumping the litter out of the liner. The liner that came with mine leaks a little bit at the "back" bottom edge, resulting in a few drops of urine per month ending up in the bottom of the actual bin between the liner and the base. Overall this is not a huge issue, and I wouldn't expect such a sewn seam on a tarpaulin-material liner to be fully liquid-proof anyway. Overall I would say this litter bin has been worth the investment. I just hope they sell replacement liner hooks because I'm sure at least one will end up breaking within the next year.

I have three cats ranging in size from 8 to 19 pounds. All three are able to use this cat box comfortably. The largest one kept going outside of the old litter box. With the high sides, he has to stay in bounds! The little kitten wants to go up the wall to cover his business, but the high sides prevents him from damaging the walls. The middle on is fat and likes the extra step to get out of the box.The scoop is not that great...I don't use it as the litter I use doesn't sift through properly. The liner is super strong and stays put. I did have to duct tape the extended shield to the liner as my big cat kept knocking it off. No big deal. I'll be ordering more liners to have in reserve.I am very happy with this litter box

We are a ModKat household. These liners are pricey, but if you take care of them they can last a while! We love our litter boxes as we have a high spraying cat and these liners ensure the longevity of them after having spent so much money on inferior boxes. I wish I wasn’t wasteful and had to toss them, but I do my best to clean them to extend their life and keep them out of the landfill for as long as I can.
