The clasp breaks after four or five usages. The leather braid is of such a circumference and density that the clasp is subjected to pressure it can't withstand, and the moving part comes off. This is unfortunate, because the glue that forms part of the kit is so good that you can't then remove the broken clasp from whatever object you chose for the tie. This also means that you can't remove the tips from the braid, which in turn means you can't remove the still usable braid from the broken clasp, because the tips won't fit through it. In an odd way, it's perfect-- perfectly useless.
