it is what it is.
Marinco is the minimum viable product on these. If you compare this 40 dollar unit to a 80-120 dollar equivalent hubbell unit, it's going to be a plasticky piece of junk. If you compare it to the 20 dollar leviton shtuff, it's great. The mounting holes aren't really ligned up. The fit is a bit crunchy. The plastics are a bit crunchy, but it works.I wouldn't ever go cheaper than this. If you can afford more, go hubbell, you won't regret it. If you can't swing twice the price for that, then this is probably fine, just expect it to last ~2 years in moderate use, 1 year in harsh. If you know that, then you can make the right choice. I use a lot of these for burning man crap that gets trashed by idiots. It's great for that.

Bad gasket
The connector itself is a great product, exactly what I need. Unfortunately, the foam gasket that goes with it was improperly stamped, very disappointing. Hopefully the seller can send me a new one, in which case I will give this a 5 star review.

Great Generator Inlet
This is a very good quality generator inlet.plug. Nice tight fit and very universal mounting. I installed it directly into the 200 amp transfer switch which feeds the entire 200 amp panel with 30 amps from the motor home generator. My customer can run anything in his entire house from the R/V generator as long as he does not exceed the generator's output capacity of 30 amps. I highly recommend this inlet plug.

Kind of surprised
The item has a CSA marking, seems well made but it is a nylon housing not metal. The ground wire opening may be broken or can't handle a 6 gauge wire, why who knows.May be going back.
