Supercharge Excel: When you learn to Write DAX for Power Pivot

This book may be too good. Matthew Allington wrote a book that makes it feel like a personal tutor is in the room with you teaching you DAX. Each sentence is concise and simple, and Allington makes it a point to make the reader understand that they are completely capable of grasping the concepts if they desire to practice. I don't feel the need to go to a classroom setting to learn DAX because this book is the teacher I need. If you want to learn DAX, get this book.

I used this book with the downloadable sample database and found it really easy and fun to learn. I did each practice exercise and the Excel file I created in the process can be used to review the techniques. I liked that the DAX solutions were provided.

Very cool! Easy-to-follow instructions with clear screen shots and highlights, good explanations. Any newbie (dummy) can follow along. Even has example data source to download and practice exercises. It is all what I was looking for.

Excellent book if you like programming with excel power query. It was recommended in an article and well worth it!

Thorough and easy to follow examples to help someone learn DAX and Power Pivot.

This book did a good job teaching the basic concepts of DAX. Good examples.

The book progresses through the use of DAX in Excel. Concepts and examples are clear and logical. I had, previously, "muddled through" with Power Pivot. I now realise how much I had missed using that approach. The book is a worthwhile investment.Note that the content of the Supercharge Excel and Supercharge Power BI books are the same, so just pick the one that reflects the software that you are using.

Best book on DAX. Taking one star off because the book does not reference building relationships, which are required before you start practicing.

Ich konnte dieses Buch für EUR 7,64 erwerben. Ich habe auch bereits Supercharge Power BI gelesen.Der Autor meint zwar, dass es reicht nur eines der beiden Supercharge Bücher zu lesen, aber ich finde es extrem hilfreich, DAX in beiden Programmen zu üben. Ich bin BWLer und Excel erfahren, aber ich brauche die Übung, und die Vorgehensweise in den beiden Programmen ist doch recht unterschiedlich. Anfangs fand ich die Lerninhalte etwas langatmig, aber im weiteren Verlauf der Bücher wird es anspruchsvoller.Im nachhinein, fände ich es besser, erst Supercharge Excel und danach Supercharge Power BI zu lesen.
