These crayons are amazing. We have a pack of the same brand, Stockmar, block crayons that we’ve been using for over two years and they have barely worn down at all. These colors are highly pigmented and smell like beeswax. These crayons are ideal for blending and layering colors. We use them for early elementary coloring, block crayon style art, and school. These are a must for any kid. I highly suggest looking up Waldorf art with block crayons for inspiration. We use them daily. Definitely buy a pack of the regular Stockmar crayons as well.

I bought these for the kids to color broad strokes with (full skies, backgrounds, etc) and when I used them, I wanted them for myself. I found myself not wanting to share with the kids. :)These are great crayons. They seemed a bit expensive to me, however, they are very nice quality and seem to last much longer then regular crayons. A few bonuses I didn't think of until after we received them were: they don't break in half at the slightest of pressure and my kids love that they don't have to peel off the paper. (apparently paper wrapped crayons are an issue)If you are a waldorf/earthschooling fan, then I'm sure you already have these or know about them. However, if you are not familiar with waldorf schooling and are just stumbling upon these crayons, I'd like to mention that their sturdy quality, ease of use and handy case make them well worth the price that appears to be a bit high at first glance. Especially when you can get run of the mill crayons at the market for a buck. I understand and yet I still think these crayons are WORTH IT!

Love love love these crayons. Have been buying and using them with children in my classroom for 35 years, and now with my grand babies. They’re magical, especially when turned on their sides and used for shading. They last for many years and never break! Crayons don’t blend, but these do! Children are always in awe with their projects, adults, too. I love love love these. You will, too.

Amazing color and smell like honey. I bought a wooden organizer off Etsy so my 1 year old could access the blocks easier and I'm so happy with the set up. Worth the expense since he tries to take bites of his crayon still. My big kids love how these colors layer and are so vibrant.

These crayons are worth every penny I paid for them. Their block shape makes them very user-friendly. They cannot be broken easily, and they can be used to draw very narrow to very broad lines, depending on the way they are held. I love the high quality of the pigments in the crayons and I enjoy the beeswax smell. I bought the crayons for myself and I am planning to buy more as presents for children.

Stockmar always offers amazing quality. It is a great medium to work with. I originally purchased the smaller set for my kids for school, and I loved it so much I had to buy the larger set for myself. I do wish that the choice of colors were a bit better, some of them are very close in hue. But for the amazing quality it's not that big a of a deal.I've gone through dozens and dozens of boxes of crayons, always breaking and getting lost. With the wonderful tin, they never get lost, and haven't had one break at all. They last forever too.

My children attend a Waldorf informed charter school and the curriculum is very arts integrative. The unique shape of these crayons allow for larger areas to be covered, frames to be colored easily, and when turned onto its side or corner, makes thinner lines. The quality of the wax and color are excellent and the color spreads smoothly and easily. Why pay more for crayons? Cheap crayons do not have much saturation of color and the spread is splotchy. Stockmar crayons or the like help inform the young artists' hand better.

I bought these to give the kids some variety. I also liked that they are beeswax rather than petroleum based. My initial impression was that they are a bit smaller than I imagined they would be, but not significantly so. Some of the colors are very difficult to tell apart; the purple, dark blue, dark green, and black all look the same and with no wrapper to help distinguish the color it is impossible to know which is which without starting to color with it. This doesn't seem to bother the kids at all. The kids wanted to color with them right away and are having a lot of fun with them. They seem like they would be very difficult to try and break and they show almost no wear even after many pictures have been colored with them. They should last a very long time. I had read that they would smell nice, like honey, but they smell like any other crayon to me. I wish the colors were a bit different, there are several brownish colors and white which are getting little use but there is no light blue and no pink (although this would make the set less fun for boys). I plan on ordering an individual pink from a waldorf supply website. The tin they come in is very nice, it closes securely and keeps the crayons in order. It's also nice for helping the kids to see these crayons as special and something to be cared for and put away. It comes with a little plastic scraper, it's supposed to be used for scraping marks from other crayons off the one you're wanting to use but we have yet to find a use for it (I put it away so the kids wouldn't use it to carve up the crayons). The shape is nice but it does lead to less precise coloring but it is great for coloring large areas, like sky or grass. Overall I would recommend these to parents of kids over three, kids under two or three could use them (and they're a great shape for little hands) but would need supervision to prevent teeth marks in these pricy crayons.

Ich arbeite mit den Wachsblöcken, wenn ich Flipcharts zeichne und bin sehr zufrieden mit diesen. Sie sind super ergiebig, lassen sich super mischen, verwischen nicht und die Farbauswahl ist super. Würde ich sie nochmals brauchen würde ich genau diese wieder kaufen. Ich denke aber so schnell werde ich diese nicht erneuern müssen.

Ces blocs sont excellents pour tous...l'aspect est ciré et doux... il faut gratter et frotter mais le rendu est magnifique
