I bought two of these for a trip to Scotland and they worked well. One was a bit tricky when it came to opening it, but I think that was because it was new and needed to be used a few time. It works well now. As they are really reasonbly priced, you can imagine they are not super high quality, but they did the job and I was able to store it in my purse, while my husband put it in his jeans pocket. It also came with a cover/sleeve for when not in use.

This little umbrella is awesome. Is has outlasted all of my other umbrellas. Very compact.

We were in Europe during the latest heat wave where temps were hitting 90s/low 100s every day. As we were on a tour, there was a bit of walking and hats and I don't get along so I purchased this travel umbrella ... it worked great!! Whenever I was underneath the umbrella, the temperature must have dropped 8-10 degrees. One day, we even had a surprise shower and it worked during that as well. People with regular umbrellas didn't have the temperature drop I did. My only complaint is that it's made rather cheaply. I had problems opening it up and getting it to stay as the latch is rather flimsy but it did last the entire 20 day trip. If you're looking for sun protection long term, this may not be for you, but for me, it did the trick.

Today I to used new umbrella for the first time. It opened, but the structure does not stay open. It constantly closes by itself. The umbrella handle constantly folds, making it impossible to use.

Works well just as advertised

For the price it does the job, it opens and keeps you dry. However you get what you pay for. Any wind and this blows inside out. Also the locking system when you push it open is challenging to get into place.
